Well, I'm new to the forums as you can see. I was thinking to be a Mage or an Archer or Ranger whatever the Maplestory names it:P

Also I didn't download maple YET.

Just need some tips about it is good and if it is what's a fun class.

Okay, to tell you the truth, I'm a returning maple player, but if you don't mind that. i don't mine sharing some things about the game.

 Maple is "A GOOD GAME" but it's your experiences in the game that's going to count the most. if you are definitely new to the game here's some tips I can share with you that get me through the game.

 1. Always do research about a character first. There's no such thing as one fun glass. That is determined by you. Also, don't fall into the whole that this one character is the best because not everyone likes to be a theif, magician, bowman, or warrior. Always make sure that when you do research you say. "Okay! This class seems more like me." Maplestory is all about " How you make your character and go throughout the game." not what everyone else thinks you should be. I had run into many cases where people quit the game because they listened to other people saying that this class is better than the other. When that class didn't suit them yet. I did a lot of reseach and the characters that always suit me is a warrior, pirate, and a bowman. I like close and personal. Making money as well is me too. So if bowman suits you, do a little research. There are plenty of guides and don't forget to compare guides.

2. Server that will suit your needs. Let say you want to be a lone fighter than the new servers is great for you. if you want someone to be friends or talk to then the servers before the new is best for you. Also make sure you pick a server that can run on your computer. If you pick Scania and you lag a lot, then it's not great to make characters there.

3 . Make a Mock Character first. A mockery character is a character that even if you made a mistake, it really doesn't matter because it's not your main character. The purpose of a mockery character is to gather information, get use to the system of the game, and develop an understanding before you make a main character. Mockery characters can later be deleted or used a storage when you feel you are comfortable with the game.

4. Never beg in the game nor feed beggars. It's very very easy to make money in this game. All it takes is time and determination of killing simple monsters. Always balance yourself between trainning and money gathering. You can't make money if your spending too much killing monsters that are too high level than you. Also don't feed those who beg to you. Some beggars would ask for a large amount of money. If they wwould just train and fight, they can get that amount at the same time they beg.

5. Be warned, not everyone is friendly. You might encounter some rude people in the game. there are better methods of handling these people, but I'll  tell you this. Don't pay heed to them. Ignore them and move on. Some people just want attention. There are many other methods to dealing with  these people, but I don't want to bore you with all of it.

And like the server that would be good for me is a fun one. Fight monsters do quests etc. Not boring ones. Which one are you in? 

I'm in the newest server dementhos. That server is pretty deserted. For now I'm making mockery characters to make money before I make my main character. I already got plans to make a warrior, a cygnus warrior, and a bowman first. ;) So, I might not be the best person to be friends with right now because i'm going to be busy making money til I gained enough to support on my own..

Set the destination to your progam files. You should find it in your c drive, then look for folder program files. that's where you want to put the folder in. Then let it roll. If you want to go in Dementhos to get a little taste, I'll be glad to help you get use to the game as you make your mockery. if you want to make some friends, we can play in the first server. I'll give you the names of my next mockery character since I made enough to get armot for my level 20 mockery character. I'll even give the name.

Oh You mean the game itself. You're going to download it on the maplestory site. Here's the link:

You must download the downloader first before you can download the game. the game itself is atleast 1gb. So, it's going to be a while determined by your connection.

In ther server I'm in. Most of the people are in server 1 of world dementhos, but if you go to any over server you might only see me and maybe 1 or 2 people afterwards. Yup they will give you a newbie guide. And you'll be going threw the whole newbie process before you go on maple island.

What you doing on Maple? 

Doing a little trick I learned long ago, is making characters into a storage account. An account basically made up of mockery characters up to level 30 or more if I wish, but mainly to make a storage account. I also learned something very interesting called reusable armor. Instead of selling the armor I used at a certain point I don't need it anymore. I pass it down to the next charater. That way I save money and pots for defense. mockery characters can be any character you wish to explore, but I usually make them warriors. Also trying something new instead of what the guides say lke maxing out certain skills. I want to see how well my character is by doing something different.
