Well, I know/knew quite a number of people who actually take online-dating seriously, which has caused a lot of drama. I, myself, used to be married with someone but broke it off because I think a real life relationship would be better for me. 

It has some good aspects, but of course, they're all in-game. You can APQ and access quests for couples and other things like that.

Overall, I guess this kind of thing is the best for your "online life", but not really your real life.

IMO. It helps make the game more enjoyable. For example, say you are stuck at school and very bored, at the very least you have something to look forward to. That is, if you CAN use the computer on the weekdays.

Its hard to say, also depends on who you are.  Personally I'd miss my gf too much if I just stopped, however some people just get gf's to say they have one.

hmmm... stupid final answer. dating on games is fine if perhaps you know the person or just for the exp and PQ.  i guess the dating is alright but buying things for random people with real money is weird and i think its a little creepy.  $30 for a wedding i mean come on this is ridiculous.  

 IT IS A GAME PEOPLE!! Games should not be used for meeting people unless no never mind it shouldn't happen.

Well... first of all... ~ It rly isnt neccessary in Games... i mean... Who wuld rly spent a ton of money on someone you dont knoe ( if you kno the person in rl... good fer u ). I mean... you're just wasting your time and money on it. But also.. you can APQ... not to mention you can earn big muney and such... if you're dating bcuz of that... than that has meaning and actually makes sense. But then.... dont any of you have a life? if your wasting your time on the comp bcuz of a person maybe miles and miles away when you can do so much more Active things outside of the computer screen. 

To wrap it up... i personally think.... its a waste of precious time.... SO GO GET A LIFE D: 

   

From personal experience I'd have to say it's one of the dumbest choices a person can make. I can't tell other people not to do it because that'd be hypocritical of me but seriously... it isn't worth it folks. It can quickly turn a cool gaming environment and friendship into hell.

I honestly think it's disgusting, when people smega things like "L>HOT GF W/ NX FM4 CH12" It's not normal. It's not something you'd do in real life.

 Growing a bond with someone on here isn't bad, because you don't make it seem like you're sooo desperate for a gf. People who internet date because they get turned on by pixels just make internet dating look bad alltogether. I don't do it, but i'm not really against it.

The current way that the BF/GF thing is thrown around in game is pitiful.  You should not be trying to "buy" yourself a girlfriend with NX Cash.  Nor should you be shouting "LF Hot GF".  Hot?  How can you tell if they're hot?  THEY'RE PIXELS!  Hot and good looking are arbitrary in game because there's only so much you can do with customization.  Any girlfriend you might find on maplestory should be someone whose personality you find enjoyable.

 

TL:DR  The current system of BF/GF is ridiculous and it's mostly a mind-set thing that needs to be changed.
