This is a general list of in-game violations that are not taken lightly by Nexon representatives. Failure
to comply with the rules may result in action taken against an account,
up to and including account suspension without warning. The list includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Third-party programs
o The
use of hacks and discussion of hacks i.e. where to download it, how to
use it etc. is not taken lightly by our Game Masters. Attempts to alter
our game for your own benefit will result in account suspension.
o Jamming
a coin, paperclip etc. to hold down the attack button and/or running
third-party programs to attack for you is deemed as unattended gameplay
and it not allowed.
o Benefiting
from a hacker includes partying, looting, and making use of a hacker
such as attacking their mob or a separate hacking character to gain
experience points, items, etc. Benefiting from a hacker is just as
severe as hacking itself.
o Knowingly making use of an in-game glitch is called exploiting. This is considered as severe a case as hacking.
Misconduct
- Cursing/Inappropriate language
o MapleStory is rated E 10 by ESRB and any language content not suitable for a young audience is prohibited.
o Curse filter bypassing is considered as glitch abuse.
o Intentionally kill stealing/stalking another player.
o Racial slurs and hate mongering.
o Announcing another player’s personal information and/or any violation in combination with a megaphone.
o Trading/Selling/Buying accounts.
o Trading/Selling/Buying NX Cash – this leads to NX fraud.
o Promotion of Scam games such as drop game, buying fame, duplicating items etc.
Advertising
- Currency selling, hack promoting, and inappropriate sites is not tolerated.
GM/Moderator Impersonation
- Attempts to impersonate a GM or a Moderator are futile and carry a severe penalty.
The
In-game Rules of Conduct also apply to the forums. Violating the
In-game Rules of Conduct infringes upon the User Agreements that you
agreed to when you signed up for a NX account.
Please
keep in mind that violating In-game conduct rules on the forums may
result in forum privileges revoked and account suspension without
warning.
In-game
and Forum Rules of Conduct are enforced at the moderators/GMs’
discretion along with the appropriate course of action taken on
violators. In-game/Forum abuse may result in termination of game
accounts, and all accounts associated with it.
