My guild mates and i were having a conversation about playing on a private server. I told him that they were legal, as NXJoe had stated. Him being a stubborn ______ kicked me out of the guild and wouldn't listen to what i had to say.

When has NXJoe ever, said that private servers are "legal"?

Besides, there's such a thing, called "copyright laws."

It basically if you wrote an essay, some other kid copies everything on your essay, word for word, and turns it in for his/her credit. In writing, it's called plagiarizing, but for things such as private servers, it's called copyrighting.

-Hime- and the other forum administrators and GMs have all said Private Servers are Illegal.

The only other server that Nexon owns that is not listed is Tespia which they use for beta testing. It is a Copyrighted Limited Server owned and used by Nexon for only a single purpose.

Private servers are created using hacking tools called packet capturers which violate copyright laws in many countries not just just the USA.

These private servers will never be legal and will only end up being shut down time after time like Nexon has started doing.

I think you need to get your facts straight. I don't recall Nexon giving permission for private servers to use our intellectual property. A silly disclaimer note on the bottom of private server websites does not make it okay.
