I think that being a pirate would be totally worth a long patch and a rrrreally long wait, except for I have five questions for Nexon:
1. Would we get an extra character slot in each of the worlds to accommodate the extra job?
2. Also, would the beginning areas change again because of the extra job? I'm not so sure they need to, but the quizzes and such in Maple Island could use a little revamping to educate us about the new job, and the price to get to Florina Beach may have to be toned down for aspiring beginners to reach the job.
3. How much will the Pirate job have in the skill and ability range or the in the equipment that sets it apart from other jobs? To me, this is the most important one because the thief job appears to be the same, from what I've heard and seen. (not reliable)
4. Will the guns work? This is a debatable question, and I'm not saying that guns are not bad, or that Nexon will have to "dumb them down." I'm just asking whether or not they fire "real" bullets, or would they fire water balloons or flowers, just as an example.
5. Lastly, will the infighter-class pirate be evenly balanced with the gunslinger? I think bandits=assasins in skill and so on, but punching doesn't seem to be as effective as a gun. Call me biased, but pumping someone full of lead would probably do the job better than a few punches to the jaw. You might break your jaw and lose a few teeth, but you're still alive. On that note, will the ability point distribution stay the same for both classes, seeing as how one is more of a brute strength type thing while the other one is more of a dexterity and luck type thing?
I know that all these questions will be answered when the job appears, but I'd rather find out before grinding 30 levels with another character. =.=
Yay. I'm not the most optimistic person to ever post on this thread, but I still have my hopes up for the Pirate job.
The End.
