I Just installed Windows xp professional again and i installed maplestory, but when I want to play, it says i dont have good version, but I want to update it but then it says, you need to download the right version from the website, but the downloader doesn't work for me because it cant find WINHTTP.dll.

 Do you know what to do xD?

if downloading via the downloader doesn't work

just as djfelix has said, try download via the old fashioned way

Remember to click Save and not Run (for the old fashioned way), so you don't have to redownload the setup all over again if something happens

the following solution could sometimes fix the "disconnected from login server"

you could try doing the following to see if it fixes your problem:

1) click Start

2) click Run (for Vista users, run COMMAND PROMPT AS ADMINISTRATOR(just look for command prompt and right-click it and click run as administrator)

3) For XP users, type cmd in the run box

4) type in netsh winsock reset

5) If it worked succesfully, it will tell you to restart your computer

6) If it requires elevation go to Users and uncheck the account control thing [Control Panel>User Accounts and Family Safety>User Accounts>Turn User Account Control on or off] (I dont know where this account control thing for XP is...this is for Vista)

7) Now try the netsh winsock reset thing again...and see if it works 

If it does work...please let me know...xD

if auto-patch doesn't work for you...try manual patching...i believe that you are in version 76...

Here is what is happening. I have a windows vista premium with all the right specs and i have tried everything to fix this problem. I click on maplestory, i load it and it appears on the taskbar for a few seconds and then just dissapers without a trace!

I have tried literally EVERYTHING to try to fix it from reinstalling to making a new computer account!

i dunno why dis happenz, im pretty sure it isnt bcuz of windows 7 bcuz da same thing happened on windows vista. it kept happening ever since maplestory used hackshield (game guard worked fine). anyways any way ta fix dis? thnx all help is appreciated!

have you tried the solution I put on the first post?

if you don't know what i'm talking about...its the solution where you have to download the HShield folder and replace your old one with the download HShield folder

Doesn't say anything about error code: -2147287038? Well I looked it up on the Nexon page and it says reinstall the application. Anyways i downloaded it from parts from one of your threads. It probably has to do with the files you uploaded?
