well, for me, clothes don't need to be permanent.

Let's apply some Real life- Logic.

For example, you buy a complete set of clothes, whoo, they look great, and you want pt use them all the day, always. Time passes, and the clothes wore out, get dirty or you just don't want to use them anymore. So, what do you do? Buy new clothes.

 

A thing that shouldn't expire are expressions. They are cheap tho. But, for using an expression always your face won't wore out lawl

Someone commented and said that there should be two sets of pricing, eg:

~ 30k for the regular 90 days,
~ 300k for permanant wear...

seems to make sense to me... as does the whole "renewal" system... pay the 30k 1st time fee, and after 90 days if you want to buy it back, pay only a fraction of that price.

you must remember that this is a game AND a business... they're offering a service (the game) to us, the customers... in return, they need to make a profit of somekind to keep afloat.... can you imagine just what kind of server loads these people have to deal with?! 24/7 365 practically! only greedy people want things for free...

cheaper things should be permanant, i agree, like the expressions... that's dumb to make them expire...

How about this- NX items last forever, but we have to pay to play like WoW.

 

NX items are Nexon's only form of revenue. Get over it.

we were probably the lucky ones nexon chose to have to pay everyday for 90 days if you want cash it kind of sucks thateveryone else has nx clothes foreveralso again we probably have the most NX fraud too, probbably more hacking too so they need more employees to take care of em' thoose dang hackers cause all the problems >:O

The only problem is, the cash shop

is part of Nexon's way of being funded,

so if the items were unlimited, they would be earning...

lets say....1/100 of what they're earning now? 

And maple is free to play, so no worries. :)

Yea it should. I mean sometimes 3 months pass by or we don't play during those 3 months which mean that the money goes to waste. Sure NEXON would lose money but they should think about some of our other needs.

    You guys are such whiners. Listen NX clothes don't last forever but honestly i think they make more of their money selling 2x exp cards and smegas. Think about it theres a smega every few minutes in the crowded servers and they are like 2$ a pop. SO! if they made NX clothes permenant it wouldn't really change their amount of income honestly it would increase as more people would buy it because it DOES last forever. If you buy NX once trust me you'll buy it a second time. NX can also get people back into the game, like my friend gets bored and once he gets new NX he gets really active again so it may lead to them charging even more. Now, I really don't mind if they change NX to be permanant, and if they did i would have to say if they were gonna do that you wouldn't be able to character transfer it which would again make them even more money so a person would buy a set of clothes for each of their characters. Finally Maplestory is a free MMORPG nexon needs to make its money some way. If your going to whine about others MS' having FREE BAN!! go play those versions.
 

It's great that maplestory is free compared to other online games, and paying a bit for cool looking clothes is worth it. And i like to change my look every once in a while

This WHOLE topic is pointless. The fact that maplestory is free and NX is OPTIONAL, buying clothes isn't needed. If you don't like the 90 days rule, then don't buy em.

 

Now back on topic, China is MUCH stricter then usa. I've been there, I've lived there, and I remember a monument was build when people tried to rebel against the government. (They all died ._.) NX fraud just isn't an option there.....

The renewable idea is awesome, and I think it's viable for Nexon's income....since alot of people tend to buy more then just one shirt/pants/jacket/etc.

personally what i think is that if they make clothes forever, it'll get alott more people to buy.

just say about half of all the players on gms buy clothes

each one at least 10k nx

you can't say thats not alot of moolah.

anyway, people will get sick of their clothes and change to other ones.

so they'll still have a strong income.

i've probably screwed up somewhere in the plan, but thats what i think.

Okie, since i have read almost everyones post, i have my own opinion. Jms, Cms, Kms, may have "forever" clothing as you put it but also if every maplestory type was free here wouldnt be workers, GMs, technical supporters fixing the glitches, and bugs. Pretty much you could say people from Global and Msea pay for maple to run freely. Some items from cms, Msea, kms, or jms may be cheaper but i have also looked into the AsiaSoft and there 10k of nx  is about 4-5$ than you have global paying 10$ plus Tax (if using Paypal) to just get a meesly 10k nx.

Also again with the "forever" nexon cash items i honestly get sick of the clothing my char wears after 2 months. and let alone having it Sit in my Cash shop staring me in the face would be a serious waste of Memory and Ram for your computer Seeing how Large maplestory is to even be held on a computer. Sorry to say but i prefer aving 90 days on my cash items, The only thing i would LOVE to have permanent is my pets, and pet equips.
