i lets it patch for 3hours and last night too but still doesn't go past it

Patcher Issues

On launching MapleStory the screen just blacks out and disconnects me after awhile.

 

This issue may erupt from monitor frequencies MapleStory does not play on. To find a frequency for your monitor, browse to your MapleStory folder and run the Setup.exe. You will be prompted a pop-up stating:

 

This program sets your monitor frequency up for MapleStory. Please run this program if your screen turns pitch black, or if you see a warning on your monitor on exceeding the range of frequency of your monitor. When the game starts, are you able to see the game clearly?

 

Click NO and follow the instructions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

If none of the recommended actions help and the issue persists, please submit a ticket to our customer service system. You can log a ticket by logging onto the website (http://maplestory.nexon.net/), click on the Support menu located on top and select Email of Inquiry or Contact Us. . Please include a full detailed account of your issue so the CS/GM agent can better assist you.

 

 

In addition, if there were any other methods that weren’t addressed go ahead and suggest them. Any issues that weren’t listed above please note them here. I will update this accordingly. Thank you.

I'm having the 3/3 Base w,z problem =/

The thing is.. I've done everything posted on the first post. I tried:
- waiting - patching manually - deleting & re-installing

Since I have Windows Vista... I guess that makes it more complicated.
Anyways, I've also tried:
- changing compatibility mode to Windows XP (Service Pack2) <- That's what it said on the thing.
- restarting.. like twice -.-

I'm not too sure about the 3D graphics card thing since my maplestory HAS worked on this vista computer before the patch, so there should be no problem on that, right?

Well.. now I'm just lost. I tried all of the suggested, and still the thing just stops at 3/3!
Very frustrating =/ Any ideas!!!!!! ?

I looked around the forum for similar problems; I've tried changing to Administrative User that someone suggessted & nothing. So yeah.

Oy, here's an update on the crashing problems for me, this time I actually got an error message.

Error code 5242880 (Unknown error 0x500000)

If that helps you guys figure out what's up for all of us who can't get on Hime.

I wanted to go on and i did what u said BUT everytime i do that that error keeps coming and coming back so i need help!

after i downloaded the new patch it doesnt let me play maplestory. The picture above the start button doesnt show but it shows a action canceled page, But the start button still highlights blue and works. Then after gamegaurd is loaded it says either theres a server check or im offline. i know there isnt a server check and i know im not offline because when i re-installed it showed the picture while i was downloading the new patch. but after it was done. the pitcure disapeered and showed a action cancelled page. and all the same things happined agian. its this new patch that wont let me play.

someone help me please.

I was playing maple story for about an hour and all of a sudden I got booted off and this message popped up:

 "a hacking attempt has been detected, and MapleStory will be closed. If you have any questions, pleace contact us through the website"

Yet I have never downloaded or attempted to hack into ms. What do I do?

This may just be a "glitch" in what GameGuard  thinks it saw running on your computer.

The usual "fix" for it is to shut down Windows (turn the computer off), then reboot the computer and try Maple Story again.  Most of the time that message won't show up again.

Thank you for reading through the guide first. The issue you currently have is being investigated. May I ask which Operating System you are using?

Same issue for me too-  Log in all the way through the Character Selection screen, but when the first map appears the screen goes black and I end up back at the desktop with no error messages showing.

Operating System: Windows 98SE 

I'm having the same problem as trebor and Ashley.. It let me get in after I installed the new patch, but it went back to the black screen error when I logged off.
My OS is Windows XP Professional.

is this going to be fixed any time soon? My guild kicked me out because I can't play. :S 

i have a acer labtop that when i play maplestory it keeps restarting can anyone help me make it not restart

yea

this happend to me so i turned off my firewall

nd then it worked

so u should try turning off ur firewall

nd i also got a problem

 

i had recently installed the patch nd i was playing maplestory fine

but then something happend with my computer so i had to use system recovery

nd after i did thati tried playing again nd it stays at 3/3

i tried uninstalling

reinstalling

restarting computer

everything

but it just doesnt work

any suggestions

but still.. couldn't connect
