how do i make a regular maplestory character like a theif,mage,bowman,fighter. not a cygnus knight

Just click a little to the side of the cygnus masters and itll say something like "make an explorer" or something around there

like how exactley and where do i do that?

You can make a Knight of Cygnus in the character creation process. When you select to create a new character you are given two options :

 

Adventurer (What you know as the Warriors, Archers, Thieves, Magician, and Pirates)

and 

Cygnus Knights (Dawn Warriors, Wind Archers, Night Walkers, Blaze Wizards, and Thunder Breaker)

 

Simply choose the Cygnus Knight group picture and continue the character creation from there.

Dude get to lvl 20 or above with a regular character then you will be offered

the quest to make a Knight. Its not really a quest You just go to Erie(might be spelled wrong) From ellina

(top left corner) and find Queen Cygnus or w/e her name is lol.
