Problems come up while you're fixing others. If you've ever touched coding, one change can cause many others down the line that are very much unwanted.
While it is sad that there are delays and extensions, they are needed. They cannot simply say 8 hours because it was only intended for 1h30 like originally said.
Anyways, that's why it's not a great idea to sit around waiting for the game to open, go outside, sleep, or do other various things to kill time if you must.
