I recently got hacked because of this. FIRST OFF. I DO NOT want to hear how stupid, naive, or gullible I am. That does NOT help the cause and your just wasting your time typing that. I get the idea, I was stupid. The thing to work on now is to protect others from falling for this and to stop this moron.

Ok so heres the deal. This dude smeggad a message along the lines of "Get a free 2x EXP card! Go to nexonpromo(s? forgot).net.ms Code: EXP" I believed it so I went to that website. I looked at it closely, took a look at the url, and decided it was safe. I WAS WRONG. It looked EXACTLY like a website connected to the forums. I entered my info and it said "INVALID". I re-entered, thinking, "Why is it doing this? Ohwell."

The next day I have nothing left on my main. Except non-tradeable stuff and worthless stuff. The poor idiot probably ran out of inv. This guy got about 3 mill at most of stuff, and 3.6mill coins. It was NOT that much and it was all I had. Anyway, keep a lookout for this, if you witnessed it send a ticket. Thank you.

May be a little late to reply but I just read this today and thought to myself how i found myself in the same situation a little while ago ....

My friend was the one who did it to boot .... So people just remember plz that even though they act like your friend doesn't always mean they are your friend.... Now im not saying that your friends are tryign to scam you but you must always be careful x3 ... I went to the dumb site and while examining the site before putting in my info .... I thought to myself , "Now i read the thingy that told you that nexon would never ask for info .... sooooo i thought this is a scam .... But my friend told me it was legit ..... Relectantly i put in my info ... BUT .... it was my old scammed account from way back when just in case.... xD..... sadly it still had some things of little value that were hacked by the next day .... So as it said when you first signed up ... NEXON WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR INFORMATION ... x3 HAVE FUN MAPLING x3 ... and plz dont fall for this even though i did .....

Sadly, this is a somewhat common occurrence now. People have been trying to get access to players accounts through phishing websites. Various sites have existed even since day one of MapleStory being up. They are dealt with as time goes by, but new ones simply come up again in their places.

There's not too much you can do other than learn from this, and I don't see it as a stupid mistake, a fair bit of players do get caught up by these kind of things. It's sad, and when they're on these forums at least we can warn people about them, but in game it gets a bit more difficult.

I wish you a quick recovery from being hacked.

What my rule is - Nothing in this world is free- EVER- so if anything like this pops up.... don't try it. But if you really want to, just make a acc that has nothing on it at all and try it.... Still not a good idea with all the bugs, hacks ect......

umm well... i didnt go to a phishing website... at least not that i remember... I do realize its been months since i got hacked... they took all my armor and 26mil and illbies/seelys... and etc. i know u most likely cant get it since its been so long... but if you could i would really appreciate it... also... this is the real xsate and i truly forgot my account info bcuz i made this account wen i was young... if u can send me that plz but prolly not TY anyway
