    1.       Any player found to have a history of abuse on their account(s) in any of our games will not be considered for this program.

Darn, my little brother messed this up in Combat Arms. >_>

I can't wait until applications open. I applied last round and had no luck. I've been playing for 5 years, how's THAT for experience. Hopefully I get in during one of these rounds

Re: MapleWatch Leaf Brigade Applications: Round 2!

    Greetings Maplers!

This is GM Tiara and I am in charge of the MapleWatch Leaf Brigade program.  For those of you who followed the application process last time, some of the information I provided below may already be old news, but for those of you hearing about this program for the first time, I hope you find the information useful.

So after reviewing this thread so far, I have narrowed down some of your questions and concerns and would like to address them.

    1.     When/Where do I post my application?  TELL ME NOW!! – As Hime mentioned in the first post: “The MapleWatch Leaf Brigade will be recruiting new members soon!  Positions will be opening shortly, so keep your eyes open for when to submit your application.”  This means… we are NOT YET accepting applications.  When the application process is opened more instructions will be given then.

    2.     I don’t meet the level requirements, but my account is over 2 years old.  Can I still apply? – Unfortunately, no.  The level requirement was originally set at level 70.  Due to player feedback during the first round of applications, we added an additional reduced level requirement of 45 if the account was over a certain age.  We want to explain that even though this is a base requirement, it is still being scrutinized heavily.  If we have an account that is level 200 and the account is only one week old… o.O, umm yeah… We are checking for odd discrepancies as well.

    3.     I’m in Europe, but I can still play your game with my old account.  Can I still apply? – Because you are no longer in our service area, it may be very difficult to assign you a new “watcher” account.  However, it is not impossible, and we still encourage you to apply if you meet all the criteria.

    4.     If we need a microphone does that mean we’ll be talking to GMs? – Yes, one of the perks of being in this program is that you will have direct access to the GMs.

    5.     I didn’t make it last time.  Should I bother applying again? – Please remember that the response we received to the first round was HUGE, and it was impossible to choose everyone.  If you applied the first time and did not make it into the program, we strongly encourage you to apply again.  Please  be sure to review the criteria before applying again.  There was a forum post that explained some of the common reasons people were denied. (You can find it here: http://forum.nexon.net/MapleStory/forums/post/2950023.aspx)  Often, the “deal breaker” may be simply that not enough information was provided.  It is important that you give us as much information as possible.  We consider every piece of information available to us, including the information you provide yourself.

    6.     I thought GMs don’t ask for your Account ID or password.  How do I know I can trust you? – To be THAT concerned about the safety of your account is admirable.  Not enough players truly understand the risk involved with account information security.  Please understand that we are not and will never ask for your password.  The Account ID, however, is something that may be asked for when verifying account information.  We never want our players to feel unsafe, and it is important from the beginning that our potential candidates trust in this program.  So if you truly feel uncomfortable providing any information requested on the application we suggest that you hold off on applying.

    7.     I have previous abuse on my account, so I’m not going to bother applying. – If you have previous abuse on your account, but you feel you should still be considered for this program, you will be given the opportunity to explain any abuse on your account and why you should be considered.

I will do my best to keep answering your questions.  Good luck to all of you!

    Cheers,

    Lead GM Tiara

The post in the link GM Tiara gave stated it was not required to have one when applying. It did hint, though, that one was necessary.

Awesome! A second chance to join this program! My last application was respectfully declined the first round. I have all my hopes to make it into this time around. Good luck to anyone and everyone who applies in the future.... =)

    Combattente:

I still don't understand something.. I have an account and can play it because it was created in a date BEFORE May 2007. This means that I can play it even if I'm not in your service area, and, in fact, it's like that. I'm not in your service area: I live in Italy.

Can I still apply, if I have an account older than May 2007 I can play with even if I'm in Italy?

    -Hime-:

    1. Members of the MapleWatch Leaf Brigade must be in our service area.  If you can create a MapleStory character and successfully log into it, you are in our service area.  One common misconception is that you must live in the Los Angeles area to qualify, and this is not the case!  It doesn’t matter where you are; as long as you reside in our service area, you can apply to be an MWLB member (pending another restrictions listed later in this post).
    2. MWLB members receive a completely separate account to patrol on. You will not be patrolling on your play account.

I think this means that you must be able to creat a new account and be able to play on it at this time and that the MWLB members will recieve a new account to patrol on.  So that if you live in an area that used to be part of the service area and area is no longer part of the service area but  you were allowed to stay because of your prior work on your account that you won't be able to participate.

    GM-Tiara:

But maybe it just means that they have to think you are better than the people in their current service area and they can accomidate you if necessary.

    1.       Any player found to have a history of abuse on their account(s) in any of our games will not be considered for this program.

    2.       You must have a MapleStory character that is level 70 or higher, OR have a level 45 or higher character on an account that was created more than two years before your application date.

    3.       You must submit your application before the deadline.  Any applications submitted after the deadline will neither be considered nor responded to.

1: I have only played Maplestory, and have never gotten banned at all (and as a bonus, I caught my brother in the act of gold hacking on Gaia Online)

2: Does a level 42 perma beginner on a year old account work? (My main back then was a perma beginner)

    3: When is the deadline?
