Greetings Maplers!
This is GM Tiara and I am in charge of the MapleWatch Leaf Brigade program. For those of you who followed the application process last time, some of the information I provided below may already be old news, but for those of you hearing about this program for the first time, I hope you find the information useful.
So after reviewing this thread so far, I have narrowed down some of your questions and concerns and would like to address them.
1. When/Where do I post my application? TELL ME NOW!! – As Hime mentioned in the first post: “The MapleWatch Leaf Brigade will be recruiting new members soon! Positions will be opening shortly, so keep your eyes open for when to submit your application.” This means… we are NOT YET accepting applications. When the application process is opened more instructions will be given then.
2. I don’t meet the level requirements, but my account is over 2 years old. Can I still apply? – Unfortunately, no. The level requirement was originally set at level 70. Due to player feedback during the first round of applications, we added an additional reduced level requirement of 45 if the account was over a certain age. We want to explain that even though this is a base requirement, it is still being scrutinized heavily. If we have an account that is level 200 and the account is only one week old… o.O, umm yeah… We are checking for odd discrepancies as well.
3. I’m in Europe, but I can still play your game with my old account. Can I still apply? – Because you are no longer in our service area, it may be very difficult to assign you a new “watcher” account. However, it is not impossible, and we still encourage you to apply if you meet all the criteria.
4. If we need a microphone does that mean we’ll be talking to GMs? – Yes, one of the perks of being in this program is that you will have direct access to the GMs.
5. I didn’t make it last time. Should I bother applying again? – Please remember that the response we received to the first round was HUGE, and it was impossible to choose everyone. If you applied the first time and did not make it into the program, we strongly encourage you to apply again. Please be sure to review the criteria before applying again. There was a forum post that explained some of the common reasons people were denied. (You can find it here: http://forum.nexon.net/MapleStory/forums/post/2950023.aspx) Often, the “deal breaker” may be simply that not enough information was provided. It is important that you give us as much information as possible. We consider every piece of information available to us, including the information you provide yourself.
6. I thought GMs don’t ask for your Account ID or password. How do I know I can trust you? – To be THAT concerned about the safety of your account is admirable. Not enough players truly understand the risk involved with account information security. Please understand that we are not and will never ask for your password. The Account ID, however, is something that may be asked for when verifying account information. We never want our players to feel unsafe, and it is important from the beginning that our potential candidates trust in this program. So if you truly feel uncomfortable providing any information requested on the application we suggest that you hold off on applying.
7. I have previous abuse on my account, so I’m not going to bother applying. – If you have previous abuse on your account, but you feel you should still be considered for this program, you will be given the opportunity to explain any abuse on your account and why you should be considered.
I will do my best to keep answering your questions. Good luck to all of you!
Cheers,
Lead GM Tiara
