When i start up maplestory the gameguard load and when press the "play" button what comes up is a black screen that says "signal out of range." The maplestory music plays but other then that nothing.

HERES THE PROBLEM= I LAUNCH THE GAME AND THE GAMEGUARD COMES UP THEN I GET IN CHOOSE MY CHARACTER THEN IT SHOWS ME A SCREENSHOT OF WHERE I AM THEN CLOSES THE GAME DOWN AND TAKES ME BACK TO MY DESKTOP WITH NO EXPLINATION NO ERROR CODE NOTHING! Hmm... I happen to have a problem that no one else has and i was hoping you could help. When i download Maple Story, it will download very little and then freeze, if i cancle and then try again, it will download very little and then freeze AGAIN, on and on.... Do you know how i can fix this?

Hello, I heard this was the place to take a look at what may be causing my problem.

Unfortunately, I don't think my error is covered in the FAQ's.

For the past two weeks, and primarily since this patch, I have been unable to proceed past this one map in the guild party quest.

I've tried to proceed at least five times(reinstalling after the third time on the primary system I use to play), but after I try to proceed to this one map(the first waterway), the game seizes up showing a portion of the map itself for a brief second and closes, no pop-ups or errors. 

My guild doesn't mind letting me stay behind until the bonus stage, but aside from the first three challenges, there is nothing that I can help on.

Can I get a few opinions on the situation?

I am not the only one? I cant even log in. Everytime I hit a key or move my mouse over a button, it freezes for 5-10 seconds, and even when I try to type something in, sometimes it shows up as a space, and not the letter I typed in.

im have the same problem as most people are haveing were you get to the char select and it just shuts down well i found out it is a C++ visual error beyond that i have no idea what to do

No, you dont understand. I cant even log in past the id and password screen. But that sort of helps.

Nope. Just tried the instructions for fixing C++. Ineffective.

This error normally results from incorrect Display drivers or an outdated version of DirectX. umm yea i did that and made sure i had the latest version of dirextx, but it still pops up the same error. plz help me.

At 3/3 it is patching....not downloading....You have too let it patch......So be patient.. it takes long for some people.
