This is kinda a retarded new job you've gotta admit its just replacing the old jobs with flashy new skills i was kinda hoping to have alchemist for new job.

It isn't a new "job" it is a subclass. Think of it like a sidekick for your main character.

Calling them "side-kicks" may very well be the perfect description for the KoC, but I've heard somewhere before that they could cause as much, if not more, damage as the normal classes. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the "are" able to do that kind of damage at only 120 then I think they are more than ready to take on Horntail. Maybe not that darn Pink Bean thou.

depending on their gear they can do dmg equivalent to a 14x-15x adventurer...unfortunately they'll never be able to Pink Bean due to the quests in Time Temple exceeding lvl 120

I wonder if there will be an exception for the Cygnus. Thou, judging by the power it takes to even get to Pink Bean...then I wonder if it would matter.

Meh, It's not ALL the same, some new skills. And they are so freaking oerpowered for their levels that they might as well stop at 120 o-o I can't wait to see how screwed up the Monster carnivals is gonna get with those overpowered cyygnuses playin >:)
