    Re: The Maple Mentors

Ok, so here is my problem/idea. Since wind archers have low hp and only get up to lvl 120, i'm wondering, since i get 6 ap till lvl 70, maybe i should use one of the 6 ap too boost my hp? It would help if i wanted to bass and also to allow me to kill a tini-weenie bit higher lvled monsters. I'm just wondering if I should what lvl should i start? I have a lvl 60 (or 59 as apparently stated by the maple website. D: IT WAS HARD TO GET THERE YOU KNOW D:<) Wind Archer and im wondering where to start. I wouldnt have enough mesos to buy higher dex equips, sooo....

    Re: The Maple Mentors

I noticed no one answered this. So let me put this in a question format:

Were can i find good, honest playing people on Maple Story? I keep running into people that lie, people that are dishonest about their intentions. I maybe i little strict, but id prefer to be around like minded people. As i said above, 90% of people i know/known are either breaking a TOS rule, harassing people by scamming them, or just doing not good things. I just found out today one of my so called "friends" was account sharing. So is there any honest people left on maple story that actually follow it legitimately and actually follow the rules, like me? I know some of you probably have friends who actually break the rules and you look the other way. Sorry, but im not like that. So any recommendations you have or suggestions, please tell me please. As i am praying for the day i meet honest maplers as i once did when i first started 3 yrs ago...

you started 3 years ago and you havent met decent people yet? hmm. ive met quite a few like HDCD kurai icex2 beserked, ninjagaru, seminary, overiimit and so on.

the thing is. 99.98% of maplers have broken the rules. whether they tried to or not. have u ever cussed in maple? theres a rule broken.

and although account sharing is against the TOS . its up to your friends to decide if they wanna do it and participate in the risks. trust me eventually you will meet decent people. like in the higher lvls people tend to be polite , friendly and patient. join a good guild and have fun.

oh and magicx. you can put 1 ap into hp if u want. but a 120 wind archer isnt really meant for great bossing O_O i dont think they even get SE. the most id kill with one is uh. like headless horseman.

notice: Dylanlanlan / Dylanlanian is not me, its from a hacker guild

Where's my name in that list. F5! Haha...

So yeah, like he said... there's probably a small chance that you have broken a rule before, even though you didn't intend to. Everyone makes mistakes & sometimes you don't realize what your doing may be wrong. For example, you may have fallen into a glitch before & haven't noticed that it was actually a glitch. I agree though, it's nice to be around people you know you can trust & such, but this is the internet.

Possibly you can try get a real life friend or a brother, sister, or another relative to play MapleStory with you. There are plenty of great people on MapleStory, you'll eventually meet some more nice Maplers, maybe focus more on their personality & not on how they follow the rules (of course not hackers, scammers, botters etc.), people tend to make mistakes :P If you can't fully "trust" the person but do enjoy their company, then that's quite normal, since we're all online & you can never be 100% sure about who your talking to (unless you actually know them).

    Good luck.

    Re: The Maple Mentors

I am currently raising a Str mage which is now lv 31 and a Cleric. Because i have no int or luk, i have to rely on upgraded equips. I am actually worried about how long I can keep leveling this str mage because of limited equips and other factors...but how long can I expect to raise an unusual job advancement like this one? Will it ever make it to high levels? If so, how much attention will I cause by fellow maplers?

Why would you level a mage with primary attribute as STR? It gives NO advantages whatsoever to any mages. I would advise you to delete the char and remake as its a waste of time and very few people would actually consider that as an achievement. I also doubt that it will ever go past 70 should you train it and not leech.

However, its MapleStory and you decide your own story=p

    Goodluck

I am making a Str mage because if people actually made perma beginners, many above 70, then I will just be like a perma beginner except I get to heal, tele, and become the best defensive job EVER. Even though you get no damage bonus, I can handle the cons of not being able to do enough damage compared to other jobs, as is character is just for show. The biggest advantage I see is that I actually make a lot of money off this character because of a maxed magic guard skill that only drains MP based on damage taken instead with combining the use of spells so I waste little or no HP pots, sometimes not even MP pots. I believe, with enough dedication, can make this character into a very high level, however it makes a horrible party member so I have to find another way (w/o leeching).

Also, your comment was very discouraging =(    (So far, his raw damage ranges from 66-404, with the use of a godly mace)

    Re: The Maple Mentors

Seems all the Maple Mentors agree that they've met a lot of great people; alas that's not always the case for people who are just joining or just haven't had the luck in meeting great people.

It's a huge turn off to join a game to find how rotten its community is, i'll admit, it's a huge turn off and why i haven't even really been playing much and just "off and on". It's true, the community MIGHT get better in the 100+ range, but the fact is, that doesn't help me, when I have to deal with the rotten people right now, and finding a guild? that's not always an option, a lot of the "good" people also don't want to deal with the "low levels and newbies" so therefore a problem starts to occur. How does one find a good guild and decent people if all the decent people are higher levels and don't want to deal with you until you're a high level too.

i think i've met ONE decent person so far in this game.

Training at level 70-80, I recommend the following monsters:

    - Hoodoo, Voodoo (Haunted House - NLC)
    - Dark Stone Golem, Mixed Stone Golem (FoG - Sleepywood)
    - Jr Yeti (El Nath)
    - Death Teddies (Ludi)
    - Wolf Spider (NLC)
    - Captain, Kru (Mu Lung)

I agree with you, that it is quite a turn off to play a game with a bad community & its difficult to mingle with others. With the wide range of cultures, ages & such it can be hard to find someone that meets your standards. I understand, since I've been little picky with some of the people that I buddy. Also, some servers aren't that populated, so there's not as many people to meet. There's a lot of things that can limit you to meeting great people, and I know... it sucks but I guess you just have to keep on trying... about 99% of my buddies are different to buddies I had LONG LONG ago. I even have buddies that aren't exactly "perfect" in my eyes but I still talk/do things with them from time to time despite all the negative things about them, I ignore it. "Good" guilds might not want low levels, as you mentioned... then find a guild that accepts people within your level range (or guilds with no level restriction). Like, my main guild has no level requirements, it's a friends only guild which I joined after 11x levels & a few guilds later... now I've been with them for about 2.5 years or so.

You'll eventually find some more people eventually, sure there's a few people around that you will click with. As I said before, maybe introduce a real life friend/relative to play with you? Idk. I've met a lot of nice people all around the place, even lower levels.

    Good luck.

    Sleep time :)

I never have ever sworn once in MS, nor had made any racial slurs.Ive met alot of people that are racists towards different groups, and tell them to stop it usually. Anyways, i have even found people racists towards me. Some people are even mad at me when i tell them im gonna report them for "bad language" calling it "Your Rule". Yes, i report for cursing and harassment alot. I tend to use my reports all in one day of the week. Mostly, i report the idiots using smega's swearing, or someone on my bl swearing. I tend to tell them usually before i report them, and yet they still do it. Anyways, if i can follow the rules, im sure others are out there are like minded as me. And for all intentional purposes, i have never broken any rules regarding the TOS.

    Re: The Maple Mentors

I forgot to add this to my above post:

Anyways, i have never broken the rule. Usually i ask about certain scenario's  (that my friends ask me about since they know i am very TOS rule minded) that my friends tell me are legitimate, or in this case, illegal, like this one:

    http://forum.nexon.net/MapleStory/forums/thread/3426730.aspx

What suprised me is how many people don't know this simple fact. They treat it like cursing/harassment. There so used to doing it, they don't consider there "breaking the rules". As i posted above, i report for this stuff using the GM report button. I also tend to warn my bl friends about it. Becasue i see if your idiotic enough to smeaga a swear word or a swear word work around (that is called abusing a glitch!), your gonna get reported. Im appauled at how many people don;t even care that their swearing is harassing towards others. They use the excuse "Well, only little kids care about swearing ....". Well, i would never let my kids play this game because of swearing on it in the first place. Anyways, as far as i know, i never broken a TOS rule. What's funny,, when i started 3 years ago, seem like more people were nicer, zruns were free, and people weren't as greedy or scamming you. Sure, we had our fair share of scammers back then too, especially the begger scammers..and the "push alt + f4 scammers".  It seems worse nowadays to me. Seems like there is alot more liars nowadays too. Someone says there gonna help ya or do something for ya, and instead they loot the item you need, laugh at you, and log off. Anyways, i have little optimism to find honest ms people. I am gonna search for some. So see ya in the game...

    Re: The Maple Mentors

Honest players, who follow TOS, are out there and delightful, and I do hope your circle of nice friends grows. Interact with many, train with new people and get to know them. I think you will be pleasantly surprised once you expand your social interaction. Yes, you will meet the 'bad guys", but sincerely, there are fewer of them than good guys who just want to have fun. I would encourage you to not give up or be discouraged. MapleStory is full of good people. As you do so, perhaps start your own guild with the kind people you have met!

You didn't mention what server you are on. If you are on Bera, feel free to contact me & say Hi!

    Heart

    Have fun!
