Now the 360 and ps3 are not to different. Of course when i say this i mean which age group the games there directed at. Xbox has a much larger quantity of games. The graphocs on ps3 surpass the 360 and look smoother, but i never had an issue with that. Most people have 360 mostly because it cheaper and been out longer. altough the number of ps3 owners has been raised once the slim came out.
If i were you i'd choose the system most of your friends have, that way you can have fun together.

I wouldn't even call 5% of that list worth playing. I would list Cave Story as being an awesome game above all else on the console, but it's a remake of something that's for free legally on the internet, and Nintendo wants me to pay for a version with updated graphics and a couple new features? I'll wait for the PC patch that gives that to me free as well.
Call me old fashioned, but I much prefer a mouse and keyboard for gaming. I've fiddled around with my college roommate's Wii for the entire school year last year and still prefer just plugging in a Gamecube controller for the games that let me.

That's about to change, at least on my end. My wife and I just purchased a true 1080p 42" Panosonic plasma. (By the way, it's awesome.) So to take advantage of that resolution we'll be buying just blu-rays from here on out.
Sonic games haven't been good since the change to 3D. I like my Game Gear sonic games the best. Halolz had an image posted a little while back depicting the release of Sonic games recently, and it went something like:

I own a 32" 1080p as well, though I've only used my laptop so far for watching HD video on it. I'm quite tempted to actually buy an Apple TV. From there on out, I'd never need to rent movies again. And maybe I could cancel cable.
