    MWLB Program is Live!

The MapleWatch Leaf Brigade Program is now live! After carefully going through all the applications, we have selected a number of Watchers to patrol our servers. These Watchers will begin patrolling servers within the next couple of days.

We would like to thank everyone that applied to our program. For many of those wondering why they weren’t chosen, we would like to explain a few of the reasons why some applicants may not have been accepted into this program:

    ·         For some applicants, we found associated accounts to their main account that was not mentioned.

o   We realize that many players have multiple accounts and they may not remember all of their accounts, however, some of the associated accounts had a history of abuse. It was because of the ban history for their alternate accounts that we could not accept these applicants into the program.

    ·         Any account found with a history of abuse in any of our games was not accepted into the MapleWatch Leaf Brigade.

o   In addition, any account with a close association to another account with a history of abuse was screened heavily before continuing the application process.  If the screening showed any possibility that the associated accounts were guilty of breaking our Terms of Use in any way, the original applicant may have been disqualified.

    ·         We found applicants that shared their account information.

o   Many players believe that sharing their accounts is okay. However, sharing accounts is against our Terms of Use. There was a question on our application regarding shared accounts and it allowed applicants to admit to account sharing and provide us with the reason why. For players that admitted to account sharing, we ran a full investigation on their accounts to decide if they were still possible candidates to this program. For players that did not admit to sharing account information and we found evidence showing that they shared accounts, we disqualified as a possible candidate. For players that left the question blank and their account showed evidence of sharing, we also disqualified as a possible candidate.

    ·         As one of our means of testing and communication required voice communication, access to a microphone was needed.

o   If players did not have a microphone, they were not immediately disqualified.  Most players without a microphone stated their willingness to “make it happen” if needed.

o   Not having a microphone had a very minimal impact on the overall assessment of MWLB candidates.  (This means that no one was directly disqualified just because of this one requirement.)

    ·         If an applicant was not willing/able to submit a form of identification this could have been a reason to disqualify the applicant.

o   We completely respect our player’s concerns.  If a player did not want to provide the identification we would not make them, however to be considered for the program, one of the requirements is that you have to prove your identity.

    ·         Some applicants did not meet the character level requirement and/or account age requirement.

For those of you who have not yet been contacted, there might be a few reasons why you have not received an email from us:

    ·         We never received your email.

    ·         Our email response may have went to your junk or spam folder.

    ·         We may still be processing your application.  (We have a few that we are still working on.)

Again, thank you to all the players that applied to the MapleWatch Leaf Brigade program. And congratulations to those that made it in!

I was wondering about this one here. I was once in possession of an account which info I got through a friend and I later found out that the original owner of the account had hacked on it. How bad does that look for me? I had later come in contact with the owner of it through a common friend and returned it, but from what I can tell, he went and got it perma-banned. o_o

    Re: MWLB Program is Live!

I am thoroughly disappointed with the judgingcriteria for this program. On numerous occasions it was mentioned that sharingaccounts is "not advised" (obviously), but is not "against theTOS". I even submitted multiple tickets a while ago to ask about it, onlyto get vague/unclear responses.

I feel that Nexon has disqualified many potentially amazingcandidates just because they've been account sharing / have been on otheraccounts? I myself have been on thousands of accounts in mylifetime. Does that make me a bad candidate for this program? I thinknot.

Furthermore, as we all know, there have been numerous"mistakes" made on Nexon's part in terms of certain banning periods(cough, anyone remember mistaken Bigfoot bans?), and now this disqualifiespeople from joining this program?

I know what I write makes no difference, but regardless, Imust state my disappointment with this company. I was beginning to play lessand less simply because of the lack of customer service and boredom, but then Isaw this program, and thought it would be awesome to be a part of it. Then, I hadto wait about 2 months for a simple e-mail that said no. That is fine and dandyhad the rejection been reasonable? But to reject someone over account sharingis just plain funny at this point.

I realize Nexon can't handle the volume of e-mails they received,so they have to -somehow- narrow down the applications, but... seriously.Laughing at this point.

Congratulations to those who did make it in the program, because I know some of you did deserve it, and will do a good job. As forwhether I'll be playing this game to watch that? Not likely. Last straw hasbeen broken x]

-sorry if it sounds like a rant, it wasn't meant to be one ;pjust kind of finding this a tad stupid.

The point of eliminating account sharing candidates is because multiple people have access to that account.

This program was dedicated to singular people that Nexon can contact and/or refer to if something goes wrong.

What if a person who is sharing accounts with the Brigade member does something wrong?

     Who takes the blame?

For all we know, it could be anyone.

Nexon needs to know who is behind that screen 100% of the time.

Please think of these things before you come up with your assumptions.

    From this thread:

Many players believe that sharing their accounts is okay.

    That sounds fair to me.

Good luck on this program.  I don't really think it matters how whoever was chosen, just that they help make a difference.  Seeing less hackers and botters is good news for everyone.

    Re: MWLB Program is Live!

Here`s what I have to say:

I do not share my account. However; I have been on many, MANY accounts in the past. Therefore, it is only me on my account, no one else. Now, again - Nexon is requiring ID proof for this program; therefore account sharing does not really come into play? Regardless, I don`t even share my account! But just because I`ve been on other`s accounts, I`m disqualified. o-o. but. Yeah, again making the point that if Nexon needs to contact the owner they -probably- have all their info if they`re in the program... including ID. Whatever ;p

Again, it's not smart to have multiple people with knowledge of access information to an account with that kind of power that's easy to abuse.

Know what then? At least mention it before people apply? So that wedon’t waste our time if we’re going to get automatically rejected? Ridiculousthat we have to wait 2 months when we could have just not applied in the firstplace. Either way you cut the cake, it’s still a chocolate cake. Know what Imean? It comes down to service and professionalism, which is lacking here.

Congratulations to those who applied and got in! Let's hope the system works as good as they make it out to sound.

Shame I didn't keep up-to-date with the application process. Oh well, I guess I'll just try out for it next time around!

I remember reading the thread about applying for this...

Sadly, there was suspicion of hacking on m account, so I didn't even bother applying. I would have loved to participate though.

    ...Oh well.

    Re: MWLB Program is Live!

When you guys are done with everything and we still haven't received an email is there going to be a way to find out if you ever got it?

I sent mine in a couple days after the applications opened and still have not received a reply. I know the response was not sent to my bulk folder since I have checked it steady to keep an eye on it, and I only get about 2 emails in it a week.

I am worried you may not have received my email, since the odds of still reviewing it when I sent it so soon after they opened feels slim.

    Thanks
