Okay, I've had it with Melee, it's done nothing but kill me, I wanna continue for with my character so far, but as a mage.
I have 600k...ish in bank right now, I can deal with a couple of weeks in mage-hood, I hope.
I think mage is the only thing for me. I hate dealing with Multi-aggro, and deal with lag is terrible. With mage it'll help.
I have a basic outline of being a mage, via Trigger's Guide. I need some mage strategies and build...I guess.
What should I wear?

You sure you want to go magic oriented?
Ever since I switched from mage to melee, my life's been much better in Mabinogi.
You don't understand the pain we feel. Those mana potions...
Those...
Mana potions...
Edit: 600k? You'll burn through that in days.
Melee is greater than magic really more skills to invest in magic its just spam bolt.
I'd rather spend pixel money and have fun in this game, then to keep dying and regretting my life, killing me a little inside everytime.
Dealing with Multi-Aggro is easier because I can stay in the corner and own their asses.
Plus I've been mage through-out...well every MMORPG, it just doesn't feel right betraying my natural feelings ya'kno.
P.S. There ARE successful mages you know, not every pure is a failure.

use the mount method for multi aggro o3o
I deal with multi aggro just fine that I barely drink any HP pots when I go through ciar adv with spamming windmill o3o
Well, I rather try to NOT depend on my pets while dungeoning..it makes me feel...like it's not really ME doing it, but my pets effort.
Proness Skills:
Shana's PS:OVER 90000!!!!
Vongola(me)'s PS:UNDER 200!!!!

what, so you don't have rank 1 windmill, rank 1 critical, high melee skills? But srsly, being a beginner mage is going to make it tougher for you in multi aggro situations.
I know that.
But, here
My logic: As a beginner mage I will have many obstacles to such a multi-aggro, mp-wise, ranking, etc.
As a not so new warrior I have the same obstacle but more(switch mp-wise with stam-wise)

stam = can be bought from healers easily
mp = must make them or grind Rabbie normal for skeletons to drop them
Loytachi:Kay, if you CANNOT DO MELEE, don't try and do Magic. :c
Ditto
Magic requires a great knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of each spell, and the proper time to use them. Advanced magic and Magnum shot are the easiest ways to fight with a laggy connection. Magic also requires dedication, and alot of AP.
Also, don't believe people who tell you mages spend tons of money on mp potions, as once you get more and more experienced as a mage, you won't have to buy any at all. Correct use of magic can conserve a great deal of mp, and with powerful enough adv magic, your bank will be overflowing with mana herbs like mine is. A single rafting trip with powerful magic gives 30 mana herbs, and maybe some other bonus items as well. (By the way, as a mage you'll want to take up potion making, both for mp100's and the int boost)

EienMau:I'm a mage. I haven't used a regular mana potion in months.Mana elixirs are my drug of choice. I get enough each week from AP to support my dungeoning for the week (and sometimes too many and I have to sell some D: - those are lazy weeks!). x=I wear a full set of wisp-enchanted clothing - magic school uniform, magic school shoes, gloves [cores, I think?], BBF hat, kite shield. I also add two enchanted accesories that boost my MP or INT.
This is what I need....and for your information I usually do BETTER as a mage then other classes in MMORPG I played.
And I've played A LOT.
