I wanted to buy a bird as my next pet, and I was deciding between the falcon and the crow. Obviously, they each have their own benefits:

 Falcon has higher damage, health, etc.

Crow has a MUCH longer summon time, but is generally weaker in both stats and damage.

 So... I was hoping you all could offer me some advice, which one would you recommend?

For non-mount pets, you'll probably end up caring more about stats than summon times.

Summon time>Stats. A few extra minutes for the pet to be your aggro bait is worth the disparity in stats.

Crow.

Decent Int, Decent Mana, Decent STR, 1 more point in inventory space (and its a square!) and long summon time.

Train it while it's young and it's good to go. It learns skills (except smash, but its not a big difference) earlier than the Falcon meaning you'll have it hit harder with certain skills early on which is good especially if you only train the crow now and then.

Though the crow may be lacking in STR (statwise), it's the better option in terms of skills (assuming you only train the bird once in a while) and utility (summon time). It also has more stamina when newly created and when aging which means it can fight a bit longer than the falcon.

And... it's cheaper.

Personally, i like falcons, they have a nicer name and is better looking. I jus buy pets based on how kewl they look, so yeah. If you're worried bout a falcon because of its shorter summon time, don't bother, summon time don't matter much for the pets that you cant ride on. You'll have plenty of time leftover on your falcon everyday.

 Follows is a factual comparison sheet for both pets...hope this helps for your decision. Normally i go for the pet with the best inventory. But in this case their really isnt much of a difference. I myself have a falcon..it makes a better meleer when it comes to damage in my opinion.
