Note: Everyone who posts here must have been in Black Sword: Erinn's last hope or the many sequels in the thread. And yes, you can post here and then add yourself to Black Sword. Also, to people who have read Black Sword, I have written this so anyone can read it. So, no beeotching about that.
Angel Of Loneliness
A boy with Jet black hair, amber eyes and Black wings growing out of his back, was practicing with his sword on a wooden dummy. "Hey, Athagaraz. Time to stop." Athagaraz looked up to see a man, same hair, blue eyes and wings also growing out of his back. "Okay, Alistair," Athagaraz replied. As they walked back to the house, They saw Merlin, with his white hair and green eyes, was practicing magic. As he noticed us, he flew over and asked, "What's up?" "Arawn wants us for something." Athagaraz winced at the name. Even though Arawn was his father, with his brown eyes and white hair, he hated humans and all who help them.
They continued along Sen Meg plains, with its rolling hills and green grass, they were uneasy. They all knew each of them had human friends, they just wondered who had been found out. As they saw the house, They found Midir training by the door. His black hair and red eyes made him look like a demon, in the eyes of a human. As they entered. Midir sneered and said, "You're in trouble," to no one in paticular. In the house, they saw Arawn throw a jar amd scream at them, "WHO IS SHE!?!" "Who?" they asked. Arawn picked someone up and threw it at them. Athagaraz tried to catch her, but ended up getting knocked over. "Lavender?" Athagaraz said with suprise. "So, it's you!" Arawn growled. He picked up his club, and was about to attack, when a multitude of snakes came under the door. Arawn clubbed them and opened the door to find a man who was half snake. Scales covered his body and his pupils were slits. "I am Orochi, The Snake God and I shall destroy you." He shot more snakes and moved somewhere else. Athagaraz drew his swords, while Merlin readied a spell and Alistair drew his swords. Arawn and Midir had already started to attack. "Lavender, stay here," Athagaraz ordered. 'No, I'm coming to help," Lavender retorted. "Hurry up guys, we're losing him," Alistair yelled at them. "Fine, you can come," Athagaraz said. Lavender drew her bow and started after Orochi. The rest of the guys had finished off the snakes and took off in pursuit.
* * *
They arrived in Dunbarton to find the town decimated. The only thing standing was the clock tower. Athagaraz looked over the scene and found Orochi. "There!" He yelled and they ran after him. As they came up, Athagaraz slashed and Orochi turned to smoke. "Yeah, YEAH!" Athagaraz yelled triumphantly, "I killed him!" "No. You didn't" a creepy voice sounded. They turned. Lavender had hung back to fire arrows and now, Orochi grabbed her and sprayed snake venom in her eyes. "AAAAHHH!!!" Lavender screamed. "An archer without sight, how....amusing," Orohis said without care. "NNNOOO!!!" Athagaraz screamed. He rushed Orochi and tried to attack. He was blocked in an instance. He attacked and attacked, each time getting blocked. The others just watched as Athagaraz beat himself against Orochi. 'You'll never win," Orochi. "RRRAAAGGH!" Athagaraz screamed. As his rage built up, he transformed his sword. It expanded to three feet long, with kanji on the blade. He attacked with renewed strength. His attacks beat Orochi back towards the clock tower. As he pushed him back, He charged hi mana. Once they got within range, Athagaraz swung up, knocking Orochi into the air. "Time to die," Athagaraz said, with ice in his veins. As Orochi came down, Athagaraz slammed him into the Clock Tower. "FINAL SEAL!!!" He yelled, as he unleashed his mana in a blast in the shape of a Celtic Knot. Orochi tried to dodge, but was caught as the knot unwound and ensnared him. As he was sealed within the clock tower, He screamed out, "I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!!!" When Orochi was fully absorbed into the clock tower, Athagaraz ran towards Lavender, picked her up and ran towards her house.
Athagaraz put her at the door, knocked and ran. When her family saw what had happened, they were furious. They asked her what had happened, but all she said was, "Athagaraz." They started to try and hunt him down. When he was almost caught, he ran to the clock tower and hid away in an alcove, leaving everything behind. As he sat up there, he found a guitar and picked it up. As he started to play, he got the idea to make a song. Athagaraz remained there, forgotten to the point he lost hi swings. The Clock Tower, Imbedded with Orochi's spirit, turned into a major battle site and place where a man named Basil frequently died. Lavender learned to live without eyesight and started to play her violin more and more. Athagaraz remained isolated in the Tower until he was discovered by a girl named Elodiee. But that is a different story.
I cupped my mouth and raised the fire from my stomach to my throat.
"Fire techique: Fire jet!" I shouted and shot the fire out of my mouth, onto a dummy which slowly torched it and when I stopped the fire, the dummy was covered in black and smoke came out of the dummy and I turned to my father as he was scratching his chin,
"You've done well, tomorrow we'll move to using fire as a defensive tool." He said and I smiled and jumped up and down in excitment and ran back to my mother.
"Guess what? I've mastered the Fire jet techique!" I screamed, full of excitement and she smiled back at me,
"Good job son." She said and ruffled my hair...
-------------------------
The next day I was chopping down bamboo to collect back to my father so he can sell refined bamboo to his customers, my family are famous for our bamboo and but I dropped them, mouth wide as I saw my village full of raiders...
(I'll continue to write my character's story soon, once I'm finished with my dinner :D Suspense is great! XD)
As I heard my people running away from the raiders and the warriors fighting the raiders, I got angry as I saw the banner that they carried, I clenched my fists and gritted my teeth until my lip bleed and charged at the raiders, sword drawn and let out a war cry.
The raiders heard my war cry and turned but ignored me and went back to raiding the village, my rage increased and I could now feel fire surround my body but I didn't care about that at the moment.
"TC, my boy, please don't get so furriated, its bad for your health." Kamon, my spirit said but I ignored him as well and charged at the raiders, I leapt into the air and swung the sword at one of the raiders on their horse, the raider turned and his eyes widened as he blocked my attack with his sword, which broke as soon as the two swords met and I continued the motion, never weakening my swing and the fire covered sword pierced the helmet and blood from his head splattered my face and I landed on the horse and chucked the body off and most of the village was now covered in fire and now the raiders were now all focused on me and I screamed, full of rage and the fire around my body enlargened and I directed the fire towards all the raiders and I could hear the raiders scream from the pain they felt form my flames hitting them.
The raider's burnt bodies laid on the ground and everyone were stunned and looked at me,
"TC..." My father muttered and he pushed through the crowd, but it was too late, one of the villager's milita commander cry out "He's a demon, kill him!" The milita's rushed towards me and I felt more rage fill me then I could ever imagine, the villagers accusing me of a demon when I saved them from the raiders!?
I cried out and flames escaped my burning body and rushed to the militas and I pierced their hearts and they died instantly, when I finished screaming, I looked down to see a scared man and I walked towards him, he hurriedly crawled backwards and I continued to advance on him till I felt the pressence of someone I knew. Father. A man suddenly materialized in front of me and indeed it was my dad and I froze but my body was still burning. Still full of rage, I couldn't decide weither to stay in the village or run from this place forever and I ran through the options but before I could finish I saw my father shed a tear and drew his swords and swung them at me. My own father, attacking me!? I gripped onto my sword more tightly and continued to fire up my flames and send them towards my dad, he dodged them and even absorbed some through his swords.
I charged at him with my sword and I swung a wild swing at his chest but he blocked it and I could see that the blades were covered with fire and I retreated a few metres back and fired a firebolt at him, he absorbed them through his sword and threw one at me, I ducked under the sword but then I heard a humming sound and the sword exploded and I flew forward a few metres and when I got up I felt the tip of a sword on my neck and I saw the the wielder of the sword was my father and I sighed and the flames surrounding my body soon disappeared.
"Why are you trying to kill me, father?" I asked him, my eyes as cold as ice, my teeth still gritted,
"I have no choice..." My father said and sheded another tear and I smiled,
"I see its because I'm a monster, fine!" I yelled and I turned myself into a small fireball and retreated back before turning back into my normal self and I raised my sword,
"You have learnt well, my son, but you have forgotten one thing." My father said and I felt a breeze of wind past me and I felt a dagger blade on me and I realized that I wasn't fighting my own father,
"So "he" was just a fire clone, your my real father." I said and at that moment I saw my worried and scared looking mother running towards us,
"No! Stop!" My mother yelled,
"Trisha! Stay back!" My father yelled at her and she stopped, he eyes still full of tears,
"Dan, there's got to be a better way, he can train to control it, you don't have to do this!" My mother begged but knowing my father, he probably wouldn't listen,
"If he did that to the raiders and the militas, then I can't wait nine or ten years for my son to control the spirit inside him!" My father yelled back and moved the blade closer to my neck when I heard my mum again, I took the oppotunity, I elbowed my father in the stomach, as a reaction he groaned in pain and kneeled down as he grasped his stomach, his clone charged at me and I sent a fireball in its direction and it disappeared when the fireball hit it and I turned back to my father but he was gone, I turned back to my father and he was being healed by my mother and I ran towards the forest, which was the start of my jorney...
(Hm, instead of doing one big story, I feel like doing a series of short stories, in different points of view, so try not to be confused)
"...Basil...Wake...Up..."
"...Basil...Come on, wake up..."
"BASIL!!!"
"OW!!" I said, when something hit my stomach. I opened my eyes and found a girl jumping, not on the floor, not on the edge of my bed, but on me, and she was going to land again. I rolled quickly to the side and found myself in a pile of books. "Ow," I said once again, just not as assertive.
"Oh good your up," said the girl.
"Yeah but do you have to jump on me everytime I'm asleep?" I complained.
"Are you saying I'm fat?" she asked.
"Ah, no?"
She started to hit me, hard, with a nearby book, my room is full of books. Believe it or not, this girl was my friend, come to think of it, my only friend. We met a long time ago.
*flashback*
I was sitting on a wooden floor in a small room, in fact, I was the only one sitting there. I was about 6 years old at the time and the teacher was late. When she finally came in, she apologized and began our magic lesson. Few minutes later, a girl came busting in and loudly apologized to both of us for giving us trouble.
Throughout the lesson, she constantly didn't pay attention and asked questions that wasn't always relevant. Eventually, when the lesson was done, she quickly ran to the door, turned and said thanks, and left. I thought I'd never see her again.
A few days later, I was being picked on. Why? It was because magic users had a stereotype of being physically weak. It happened every so often, more to me since...I don't know, I think I just have one of those faces that make people hit you. However, mid-way through, a girl walked by and started to hit us all with a wooden sword. It was the same girl who arrived unexpectedly from our class. When she chased the bullies away, I asked why.
"Because that magic stuff is pretty cool, I don't get it, but it was cool, so, wanna be my friend?"
And that was how I befriended Violet
*End of flashback*
"Why do you have so many books?" asked Violet.
Admittedly, I did have a lot of books. I could literally build a maze out of them.
"I don't know. So, are my parents still here?" I asked.
"They left about an hour ago, but to why I'm here-" I stopped her right there.
"Violet, I've known you since were 6. It's been 3 years since then and I can easily say that you are going to get us caught in some life threatening shenanigans that I am quite frankly surprised that hasn't killed us yet. So, am I wrong?"
"YES, because today, we are not going to be caught up in life threatening situations, instead we are going to go to Dunbarton, see the visiting elf representatives, then get into a fight with a bear!!" she announced.
I didn't even listen to the first half, "A BEAR!! Who the heck heard of a 9 year old killing a bear?"
"Well a 10 year old in Tir did it, and I say we can do it!!" she exclaimed.
Oh yeah, she was extremely competitive, whenever I beat her in a race, she'd demand that we'd race again and again until she won, eventually I started to pretend that she was faster.
"Besides," she said, "we still need to go to where the elves are at!!"
She dragged me towards Dunbarton.
-----------
Many would think that a 9 year old boy being dragged by a 9 year old girl would be hilarious, I didn't. Eventually we reached Dunbarton and saw the elf representatives. They had pale skin, pointed ears, oddly colored hair, and this sort of blank look in there eyes. But unexpectedly, they brought a small girl with them. She had blonde hair, this sort of blue/lavender color in her eyes, probably my age, and she had this sort of proud look on her.
"Hm, one of them must have brought his daughter along," I said to Violet, who was already running up to the girl.
"SO, we are going to kill a-" she began.
I clasped my hand around her mouth and started to move her away, apologizing to the girl, "Sorry, my friend here is a bit wild, we'll be on our way now."
The girl let out a small cough, then held up her hand, saying,"It's alright, but may I please join you, your friend seems to be very interesting."
A look of incredulity passed my face, I honestly couldn't believe my ears. "Wait, you want to come with us?" I asked again to be sure.
"Yes," said the elf girl.
"Well, if your parents say ok..." I began.
The elf girl ran to her father, then ran back and said, "He said ok."
Violet flipped me, grabbed the girls hand, grabbed my neck, and started to drag us off to Gairech Hill.
----------
"Violet, why are we going to Gairech Hill?" I asked.
"To kill a bear," she said proudly.
"But why Gairech, we could go to Dugald-"
"NO, it has to be here, because we are going to kill a fully grown Black grizzly Bear!!" she announced.
I broke her hold and ran, she ran after me, still dragging the elf girl. Eventually, my common sense told me that after a possibility of catching me, she'd pummel me and say that she'd didn't lose the race, at least by stopping now, I could avoid all of that, besides, I feel sorry for the elf girl.
I stopped, she began dragging me towards the bear, and said, "Everyone, attack!!"
After a few moments, it wasn't going well. The elf girl backed away to launch arrows, but they didn't hit very well. Violet was fighting with a wooden sword, that wasn't working. I was just trying to stay alive.
"Violet, come on, we are never going to kill this thing, lets just run away and-"
"NO, we came here to kill it, and that's what we are going to do!!" she said loudly.
I sighed, she always gets like this.
"Elf girl," I said, "Aim higher, the gravitational acceleration will help it penetrate, Violet, whenever you are done attacking, try to guard yourself, and attack after I hit it with an Icebolt, ok?"
"OK" they said.
--------
After a while, we finally beat it, it took most of our health, about 50 potions that I made, and incredible amount of luck, but we managed to beat it.
Violet gave us a wide grin and said, "TO US!!"
The elf girl and I said the same thing, just not as enthusiastically. When we came back to the city, the father didn't know anything and let her say good bye to us since they were about to leave.
"I had fun," the elf girl said, "Let's do it again some time."
"Yeah," said Violet, "But work on your aim."
"Of course," said the elf girl. She turned to me and said, "Your friend is a handful."
"Tell me about it," I said, "So, um, now that I think about it, what is your name?"
"Elen," said the girl, "My name is Elen."
She gave me a kiss on the cheek, and said, "See you later!!"
I was stunned, and my reply came out sort of garbled, so Violet took over and yelled, "SEE YA!!"
When they left, I was still stunned and Violet looked mad. Come to think of it, she never got a kiss before.
As if on cue, she reached out into the crowd, grabbed and kissed a boy, and made the boy kiss her twice.
"OK, lets go home."
Next morning, she demanded that we'd go to Math dungeon.
My village was close to Durbarton so I made my way through the hills that connected Emain Macha and Durbarton but I knew I had to watch out for wolves, as this part is well known in my village for their brown dire wolves.
I finally made it to Durbarton and I could see some elves at the square but I ignored them made my way to the school, where I knew there were spare rooms in the building and I requested to take classes and the lady warrior accepted my request and she gave me a room inside the library, the library was the biggest library I had ever seen, the ceiling seemed to reach the skies, the stairs were at least five times as long as the ones in my village and when I got to my room, it was like a luxury room to me, even if it seemed like a piece of old wood to my room mate, although I didn't lecture him about how tough it was on my village.
The next day, I made my way to the yard that was in front of the library and sat down as the class listened to the lady warrior...
Shaosu, age 10, was happily playing in the backyard of their house with his older brother Ceez, age 13. Well, they were sparing actually with wooden swords. Shaosu blocked a swipe from his brother and countered with an attack of his own. He jumped in time to dodge Ceez's low-swing and managed to hit Ceez in the shoulder with his sword. "Ow!" he yelped and held his arm. "i got you now big brother" shaosu grinned and charged at him. Ceez stopped Shaosu's swing with his hand and pinned him down, thne they got into a little wrestling match.
"Alright boys, dinner's ready!" their mother's voice called to them. The two brothers stopped fighting, "dinner!" they both yelled and raced to the door. They got inside and saw the food on the table their mother made for them. The boys never really knew their father, since he left when they were babies to somewhere far away. Their mother told them stories of how he fought the Formors alongside Lugh years ago during the war. Shaosu always wanted to meet him in person, but Ceez would usually poke him in the forehead and joke around, which then prompted the two to fight. Shaosu had finished his dinner and put it in the sink and went to his room.
Then two blurs appeared from his room and Kiju and Urashamaru both licked him. "Down boys!" Shaosu laughed. The dogs obeyed and followed Shaosu into his room. he changed into his sleeping attire and soon fell asleep.
---
Shaosu woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of his mother's scream followed by a chopping sound. "Mom?!" he called and got out of bed. "Mom?! Mom?!" Shaosu called as he went to the living room and saw a horrible sight. Ceez came shortly and tried to cover his brother's eyes but it was too late. On the floor was their mother, but her stomach was cut open and a werewolf Formor was eating the entrails with someone watching. "Should we kill them too?" the werewolf asked. "No, leave them" the man said. he glanced at Shaosu and grinned evillybefore disappearing. Shaosu, tears in his eyes, went to his mother's body and cradled it in his arms. "Mom...mom..." he cried softly. Ceez put a hand on his shoulder and looked at him, "Don't worry, we'll get back at them for what they did, i promise," Ceez said.
Shaosu looked at his brother then at their mother and broke down crying. There was a flash of light and Nao appeared, she had a look of sadness and pity for the two, but mainly for Shaosu. She placed a hand on his shoulder and he looked at her before sobbing into her chest. "Shh, it's okay," she said softly as Shaosu sobbed into her chest.
Shaosu and ceez later buried their mother on a small hill outside Sen Mag Town. Shaosu had on a black robe as did Ceez. "Come on...let's go..." Ceez flipped up the hood and walked off. Shaosu looked at the grave and put some flowers he had on them before following his brother. 'Don't worry mom, i promise, we'll get the guys who did this...' Shaosu thought as he looked at the grave one last time and then walked away.
I'm mad. Why I am mad you may ask? Well I'll tell you why. It started at the beginning of the week when, for my 10th birthday, I got a card from my parents and a sword from Violet, that was it. Then on Tuesday, Violet once again dragged me off to some crazy, life-threatening adventure. This continued until today, Friday, where I was asked by Ms. Lassar, my teacher, to deliver an extremely heavy and big case of books to Dunbarton, and Violet said she'd help. So far, only thing she did was attack a bunch of wolves, this is not helping.
"Violet," I said.
"Yes Basil," she replied.
"Do you mind helping me carry this trunk of books?" I asked.
"Sure," she said.
She grabbed the other end, placed it on the floor, and pushed. This was bad since we were on a slope of a hill.
"VIOLET!!" I screamed, but not before she slid down at a maddening pace. I did say it was an icy cold winter didn't I?
I ran after her, slipped and fell once, then decided to simply slide to her before she ran into anything. But it was too late, she ran into another pack of wolves, this time they were white dire.
------
So after running and hitting and running and hiding, we finally reached Dunbarton library.
"Made it," I said after collapsing on a chair.
"Yep," said Violet, who still was standing there proudly.
"You know, you could be more careful, I mean we could have been killed," I said.
"Yeah, but it's more fun that way."
I thought about it, then nodded my head in agreement. I have to say, even though she drives me crazy, it's a good kind of crazy.
"Now, Basil, you're gonna have to repay me for helping you," she said with an evil smile.
Oh, the catch.
"You're gonna do that by going with a dungeon with me," said Violet.
"Which dungeon?"
"Fidoh."
I ran, then slipped on a piece of ice. Violet dragged me towards Fidoh and we were this close to dying. Thank goodness for traveling warriors.
It has been a year now and even though its my birthday in a couple of days, I still can't leave school to celebrate, like I have anyone to celebrate it with, I just wanted to wonder around the place on my birthday to take the stress out of classes. We finished training on the dummies and we were now having a mini tornament to test our skills against each other and we were able to use anything that we've learnt, some of the boys smiled as they were part of guilds that taught them more than the school teaches them, although I'm not as arrogant and just kept my thoughts to myself, the teacher drew a quick draw and the matches began.
It was soon my turn and I was facing one of the strongest kids in our class and also he was my room mate, the one that complained about the qualities of the rooms, we both drew our swords at our teacher's command and we raised them towards each other as we waited for the start call.
"Begin!" Arawen, our teacher shouted and the boy sent his sword towards my torso, which I blocked without even moving an inch back, I pushed the sword off and swung my sword at his arm, he just blocked it in time and seemed to be off-balance, I took this opportunity to take a swing at his head and he dropped to the ground, using the momentum he gathered from his off-balanced stance, he barrel rolled to the left and raised his legs to windmill me, I leapt back, cautious of the boundries of the arena and raised my sword, but now I smiled a bit and he charged at me.
"Charge skill, he's with the rebels guild." I muttered as his increased running speed told me that he was charging and I leapt above him and cupped my hand,
"I'll show you fire power. Fire techique: Fire jet!" I shouted and shot fire in a narrow line towards him but he dodged it easily and I could see sweat drip from his forehead, I turned to the others and they were stunned by this and I turned back to my opponent, just in time to dodge his downwards swing, I blocked another swing to my chest and I spat some small fireballs at him, he ducked under those and retreated from me, keeping his distance, I fired a couple of firebolts at him and he dodged them and closed his eyes. I was confused at this behaviour and decided to wait to see waht he was doing, he suddenly opened his eyes and his body were glowing with orange and blue strands and I quickly raised my sword and covered it with flames.
"Fire blade!" I yelled and the blades of my sword were covered in flames as my opponent disappeared from view, I was suddenly hit in the back by his sword and gasped as he continued to hit my back over and over again, he suddenly stopped hitting my back and tripped me up and I yelped in pain as I landed on my bleeding back and I barrel rolled away before he could hit me again. I crossed one of my hand with my sword and focused on his body.
The world suddenly seemed to slow down as I was focused on this techique and I could feel the air brush past me as it told me where he was going to swing next, I succesfully blocked his next hit and he was surprised as he wrestled with me,
"How?" He asked and I snarled,
"Do you know where I'm from?" I snarled back and then his eyes widened,
"Your the one..." He said and I swung at him before he could finish his sentence and he leapt back and the strands of energy now disappeared,
"Your the one who killed your own village, the one from the fire village." He said and pointed at me and everyone gasped as I took the chance to heal my back.
Great this was the last thing I needed...
I was sent to Arawen's office and I sat in a chair opposite to her's and I eyeballed her,
"You are trained in the arts of the fire?" Arawen asked me and I nodded,
"The only one's left who can use them to their full potential are me and my... father." I said, hesitaintly as I said my father could use advanced fire magic, I still find it hard to even mention him.
"I bet ya the Second Chance guild could use a person like you, are you interested?" Arawen asked and my head jolted up as I heard the proposal, I've always thought of a guild as a big family and I was interested but scared of being used as a pupet but still its better than being here.
"I accept." I said and I was in my first step to becoming a Second Chance member but that's a different story to tell...
Basil: age-13-ish
I was dreaming, I don't know what it was about, I don't think it was about anything, but what I do know is that I'm expecting a rude awakening any moment now...Any second...Yeah, any time....Ok, this is weird.
I woke up to find Violet not in my room violently waking me up to drag me off to some adventure. This was the first time this has happened, ever. Ever since she found my address, she'd do the same exact thing every morning, something's wrong.
I decided to walk to her house, then realized I didn't know where she lived. So I ended up staying outside my porch waiting for her, which is ironic since the instant I see her, I'd probably run. So after many hours, she comes walking, not running, up the road. Something is very wrong.
---------hours earlier, Violet's perspective-----------
It's been a while since my sister stopped crying. She said it was a natural reflex for someone who got venom spat in there eyes, but I knew better. The doctor said it was a unique substance and that her sight couldn't be returned. That , that lousy, no good-
"Sister, calm down," said my twin.
"But he-" I began.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine, please, it wasn't Athagaraz fault," she said gently.
"He should have protected you, he should have-" I began to say.
"Please, don't be worried, besides, if he hadn't brought me back, my condition would most certainly be worse. Now please, I think your friend is waiting," she motioned her hand towards what she thought was the window, it was a wall.
---------------------
"Violet...Violet....VIOLET!!"
"Huh?" said Violet.
"What's up with you today, this has got to be the first time you'd ever been this quiet," I said, genuinely concerned, but she wasn't about to know.
"Oh, it's nothing," she said, then her tone brightened up and spouted, "Let's go to Ciar today."
I just noticed that she was blinking faster, she always blinked faster when she was lying, but I didn't want to trouble her, "Yeah, sure, let me just give back this book to Mr. Stewart."
Time: Basil and Violet arriving at Ciar
Athagaraz was sneaking into the dungeon, trying to get one of his fomor friends to hide him when he heard a voice, much like Lavender's. "BASIL, Hurry up." He turned in time to see a 13 year old girl, who looked like Lavender arrive in the lobby. She looked at him and drew her sword. "What are YOu doing here?" She snarled at him. "I take it your Lavender's sister? I'll be going now." "Not so fast. You need to pay for making Lavender lose her eyesight." "Did she not tell you? I didn't do it." "Violet, who's he?" Basil asked as he arrived in the lobby. "One traitorous rat bast-" "I didn't do it" Athagaraz yelled again. "Says you," Violet retorted. "What did he do?" Basil asked. "He made Lavender lose her eyesight, thats what he did." Violet told him. As soon as she told Basil this, she attacked. Athagaraz blocked and toke off into the air. "He can FLY." Basil exclaimed.
Oh boy, Athagaraz thought, I go out for some air and i end up in the line of fire. Athagaraz dove to the left as Violet jumped at him. Athagaraz took out a rock and threw it at Violet. As she landed, she didn't notice the rock unil she was knocked out by it. Athagaraz looked around to see Basil not even doing anything. "What do you want?" Athagaraz asked. "Just an answer. Did you hurt Lavender?" "I would never hurt the one i love." Athagaraz answered as he looked at his shoes. "I'll let you leave because i can see the truth in your eyes." Basil coolly said. "All i wanted was to find a friend." Athagaraz muttered as he flew away.
Shaosu sat on a small log overlooking a serene lake in Osna Sail forest. Shaosu had a feeling of calmness by looking at it, he found this place after he fell off the cliff above in Osna Sail pass and wandered for hours until he found it. When he did he showed it to Nao, who was also amazed by the beauty of the lake. They both decided to make this their secret hangout and not tell anyone. 'Wait, then why did Ceez ask me to come here?' Shaosu wondered. he leaned back against the log and soon sleep overtook him.
When he opened his eyes he felt something soft on the side of his face and something tracing his hair, it felt like a finger.Shaosu turned his head and saw Nao's blue eyes staring back at him. "Morning,"she said to him. Shaosu freaked out and accidently rolled off Nao's lap and into the lake. When he got out Nao was laughing and Shaosu was soaking wet. "Not funny!" he yelled. "Sorry, but you're so funny!" she laughed. Shaosu grumbled and squeezed his clothes dry."Here, let me help," Nao said and went to him, "First, we gotta remove these clothes before you get a cold," she said.
Shaosu blushed from this tatement, "H-Hang on Nao, maybe i should do this" he said. "hmm...you're right...still..." Nao muttered as shaosu was removing his robe to dry. Shaosu shivered when a gust of wind blew by, that's when he felt arms wrap around him and something big and soft press against his back, causing him to blush more and almost got a nosebleed. "Aww, you're blushing," nao snickered. 'Probably since your chest is pressing on me...' Shaosu thought. Nao smiled a little and placed her chin on his shoulder so her face was close to his own. "I can read your thoughts you know, also, i'm doing this since i know you blush when you get in close contact with me," Nao whispered in his ear.
Shaosu's faced turned redder ans he felt nao starting to sit down and he was forced to join in. Nao sat on the ground near the log's side and Shaosu had Nao's arm around his neck and her chest on the back of his head, which, now that he thought of it, felt rather nice, like a pillow. 'I guess i can use a break today...' Shaosu thought and made himself comfortable. Nao, having read his thoughts, smiled softly and soon felt Shaosu fast asleep, she smiled and leaned to give him a kiss on the cheek. It was actually a peck, but she still kissed him. "Sweet Dreams, Shao-shao" she whispered.
I walked along Osna Sail Forest, which brought bad memories of my village, I'm here on my first assignment since joining the Second Chance guild and I'm investigating the increased numbers of ogres in the forest and I hid behind a rock and saw a couple talking and then the guy felt sleepy and fell asleep on the girl who seemed a lot like Nao... wait minute, she is Nao! But isn't she a Soul Stream guardian? How is she in Errin?
I pondered over this for a moment but moved on to the forest in the guild's robe and I suddenly heard a whirling noise and ducked as the arrow struck the tree behind me and I pulled the arrow out and examined and recognized the emblem on the arrow as the Archer guild's arrow. Great, also one of the last things I need, an enemy guild to attack me, I thought to myself and I saw three shadowy figures with bows.
"Fire techique: Watch out mosquitoes!" I whispered and breathed out some fire mosquitoes and sent them to the figures, as they advanced on the figures, the light reflected off they're faces and they turned around and fired arrows at the mosquitoes and they exploded and I turned around and covered my face with my robe...
Shaosu bolted up from his sleep as he heard an explosion and asked Nao what was happening and they saw a fire covered figure flying out of the forest and landed, a little while later, three archers ran out of the forest and fired arrows at the mysterious figure, who seemed to dodge every arrow,
"The Archer guild are famous for their use of a skill known as arrow revolver, how is that person dodging they're arrows?" Shaosu asked,
"I know him, he's from the fire village, the village that was recently destroyed by a mysterious attacker, he must be one of the survivors, the people there are known for their quick reactions because of their ability to detect the heat of objects including arrows." Nao explained.
I dodged the arrows, which I must admit, looked easier then it was, I had almost no room to dodge them but I still had room, I leapt above the barrage of arrows and cupped my mouth.
"Fire techique: Fire bombs!" I yelled and shot a huge fireball at the three archers who were now running from the fireball which exploded on contact with the ground...
I was sitting in the middle of the room within Ciar. I made a campfire and dragged Violet, who was still knocked out, towards it. I was starring at the ceiling, then I let out a long sigh. I turned to Violet.
"You know, if you just let those bullies beat me up, I'd never would have gotten in this mess," I said to her.
"But no, you'd had to go crazy and fight them off, with a twig, and then you just had to declare us friends didn't you?" I stared at the ceiling.
"Aren't friends suppose to tell friends about things like say 'Oh, my sister got hurt today,' or even the fact that you had a sister! But, it's alright, we all got things to hide, things that we just don't mention, and even things we forget."
I pulled out an herb from my satchel. Mr. Stewart told me that this herb acted like a sedative and helped you forget or remember things. I wrote a little note to myself, then bit into the herb.
I turned my head towards Violet and said, "Hey, when you want to tell me, tell me, until then, I don't need to know, so I won't."
---------
"BASIL!!" screamed Violet.
"Wha?" I said.
Violet was screaming for me to wake up, again. I looked around and saw that I was sitting in a dungeon, wait, how did I get here? I looked down and saw a note, from me? It said that if Violet asked where did the guy go and what did he say and what did you hear, I was suppose to say that he left, he didn't say anything, and I didn't hear anything because a flying rock hit my head.
"Did you see where that guy go, did he say anything, and what did you hear?" she asked, right on cue.
I repeated the words from the note, and she accepted the story.
"So, mind telling me what's this is all about?" I asked, genuinely currious.
"Ah, nothing, that guy just...Owes me money, yeah that's it, he owes me money, so if you ever see him, find me and bring me to him, got it?"
"Ah, yeah, sure."
