Ok I'm a 23 Elf Wizard and I was wondering where to go for some leveling, and should I bother puttin ap into bows and combat if I use magic/ and instruments?

Try Ciar beginner or join a party for Ciar basic.. I will not recommend Normal because IMO Ciar normal is much harder than Ciar basic. well you can put some ap on Ranged but I wouldn't suggest putting anything on CM unless you're into melee.

Yeah, well, that's only because of the goblin and goblin archer, multi aggros, the monsters have lower hp than those of basic but the reason why basic is easier is because there are no goblins and there is barely any multi aggros.

Wrong, Ciar Basic is harder. I suggest even putting a BIT into CM for when those times the enemies end up getting close and you have nothing else to attack with other than a bow or a wand in this case, you will at least have something to defend yourself with. I reccomend trying Alby Normal to see if you can do it by yourself, if you can't, keep training. if you succeed, try Ciar with a party or even Basic. I would reccomend Ranking up icebolt to Rank 9 first than the other bolts, because; Ice Bolt has a faster charge time, Highest Minimum DMG, Can charge up to 5 bolts whereas Fire Bolt and Lightning Bolt charges only stack. Oh, and another thing. Only keep CM at rank C, due to if CM is higher. Then it would be harder to Rank up the bolts because of higher CP.

So,

Ice Bolt Rank 9 > Fire Bolt Rank B > Lightning Bolt Rank B

Firebolt is useful for that high DMG.

Ice bolt is useful when you want to charge during each shot for quicker attacks.

Lightning bolt is good for attacking multiple enemies at once.

CM is combat mastery. It adds  str and HP. Not really all that useful for a pure wizard unless you need the HP or use WM a lot. But then again if you use WM a lot then you'd be more melee instead of a wizard *scratches head*

You don't need to get a ciar normal pass. You just drop anything in ciar alter and it will take you into the ciar normal dungeon.

Ok, that was a stupid question on my part. You're talking about party quests right? You can get those from the Elder Duncan near the middle of Tir. No, you can drop anything, like 1 gold or something with no value at all and it will take you into ciar normal.

For some reason I think you're talking about the mainstream story line. o__o But you'll need to get a basic pass. The best way to get a basic is to find some one doing a basic run. Join there party and hope that you can get a basic drop from the mobs, or give the party quests to the party leader and let them use it. Everyone within the party will get a share of the exp and gold from the PQ. Or do normal ciar and hope one drops from the end chest.

If when you say PQ you mean Paladian quest, you'll need to get your own basic pass and be the one who drops it. And make sure everyone has left the dungeon before opening the boss door. (other than your self) because you'll need to solo it.
