    Re: fomors

A fomor is basically a monster. Anything in dungeons, even snakes because they are being controlled by fomor scrolls (hence why they drop when u kill them).

You'll eventually learn also that us, the players, are called umm... well I forgot lol--BUT! Were different from the NPC people in the game. That's why we don't die and age rapidly.

    lol thanks resil....

    Re: fomors

Another thing is, the monsters in Iria are NOT formors. If you did the quest to get to the port(before g4-g6 was released) you read a book that explains that.

You might already notice this since none of the monsters drop formors there. Also when you look at the boss rooms on the map in iria ruin dungeons, you'll notice that you don't see the formor sign.

In Irish mythology, the Fomor were the primeval divine inhabitants of Ireland, that had to be battled by every successive divine race (Partholon, Nemed, Tuatha de Daanan) that arrived. By the time the Milesians (modern Irish) got there, they had been pretty much pacified.

In-game it appears to be used for a collection of non-human sentient races. Goblins are called "Fomors" and so are Succubi. The "Fomor scrolls" dropped by all mobs whether Fomor themselves or not, are magical devices spread about by the Fomor to make monsters and animals hostile to humans when they otherwise might not be. (Triona in G2 and G3 isn't Fomor. She's Morgant's daughter, and Morgant was originally Lugh.)

The Fomor never battled over Iria, so the animals there are not artificially hostile. Note how the boss rooms in dungeons there lack the Fomor symbol on the minimap.

Field bosses in Erinn are Fomor, sometimes shapeshifted into animal form.

    Re: fomors

One fact is how there are so many fanfics of how some humans fall in love with Fomors (ex. Incubus, Succubus, Siren)

Well its kind of obvious though; they look human o3o

So if I attack someone with pvp on in dunbarton, I'm really killing a formor?

Also when I attacked the wooden fence for a green gem during that imp event, I was really beating up a formor?

    Re: fomors

I think it should be mention that fomors are controlled monsters. Most of them fomors are controlled by Lugh or Cichol anyway.

The reason I say that is because we who chose to become Dark Knights can make other monsters become our fomers.
