If you insist on going to Fiodh, Rabbie, Runda, Coill, or higher Alby/Ciar, it is highly recommended that you research battle tactics. like n+1 and magic counters. Also research the monsters too, as they can have nasty surprises (i.e. werewolves have Heavy Stander, which kills the purpose of n+1).
I suggest you train at Runda Dungeon over in Emain. Good exp and money gains. Be wary of multi-type rooms on second floor. Use fire-counter v.s. the boss. Use magic counters against everything except the Flying Swords. For Flying Swords, you gotta know its move signals, and adjust strategies accordingly:
- If it flies at you real quickly, it has Smash loaded. Normal attack to counter. (Applies to most monsters. You could've known about this already).
- If it slowly moves around, it has Defense loaded. Load Smash immediately. (Applies to most monsters too.)
- If it sounds like it's charging magic, either load Defense or hit it.
- If it flies at you real quickly, but w/o a skill bubble, it's Normal attacking, and you should windmill (rank 9+, maybe rank F-A if you're lucky) or load defense. Or hit it. There is a 33% chance you can hit it and stun it, 33% it hits you, and 33% you hit it and it hits you.
If Runda is too hard for you, try Rabbie Normal solos. Magic counter the skeletons. Beware of Red and Metal skeles. They will use archery on you if hit with a single magic bolt. Make sure you have two magic bolts loaded before fighting them.
