dual wielding: a [red] in power between those with 2 handed egos and the one handed ego users.

At this moment those with two handed egos rule over one handed ego users. When dual wielding is released however those with high power one handed weapons are going to gain ground if not surpass the clay and 2h users. While 2 handed weapons boast considerably more power they will never be able to be paired with another sword.  I am personally the owner of a claymore ego so this isnt a biased opinion in any sense. I just thought it would be interesting to bring the topic up for debate.

    Oooooh, this sounds interesting...

-finds a comfy seat and some popcorn-

I believe that a 1h ego with another sword will definetly surpass a 2h ego, but there is the matter of the level of the weapon... A person who just got their 1h ego and started dual wielding it with another sword will not surpass some one elses 2h ego if the person with the 2h ego had it longer and feeds it on a regular basis...

One skill: Final hit.  It will overtake any 2h with duel wielding. I intend to stay a 2h user (but I want rank 1 final hit so will temporarily take up duel wielding...until I get all 417 AP needed and rank final hit to r1).

Duel wielding adds more hits (two daggers = 6 hits), and if you are very skilled, you can n + 1 an extra two, while the 2h gets the max of three if you can n + 1.

But, unless they have final hit......a duel wield probably cannot take out my firebolt and 2h.

Im talking about the level of the ego and the damage done, If the 2h does better damage then the dual wielding ego then chances are in a race to finish a monster the 2h would win...

your forgetting about windmill dual weilding doubles the amount of shear power you get out of a windmill attack you remember that +200% damage well that now goes to 400% with dual weilding so it basically will own every monster that comes in your way.

err....so there is dual wielding which 1h ego + another 1h sword?

if so, using ego and ready a fixing one at the same time, also both attack power are going to be use in smash and wm =/

Great, too great I can say...

+35 defense while defending will never be rendered entirely obsolete. What it means is you'll have your dual wielding as option #1 with your sword/mace/whatever & board combo as your #2 to Tab back and forth between while FH is on CD.

To counter the overcheapness of dual wielding, 2hand swords get a major power boost later on.

Also, since 2hand swords represent the might of splash damage, there will be splash related upgrades in the future. Large splash + Final hit = pretty cool. You're exploding all over the room. Final hit might sound less useful without dual wield, and it is less useful, but its still got some really awesome features worth noting.

Also, shields automatically get +35 defense in G8 to counter the cheapness of dual wielding too.

I'm sure he means, holding an ego in one and a regular sword in the other Stick out tongue

I for one am not too concerned about this matter for the only reason I got a 2hander was for boss fights and the incarnation skill.  My two fully upgraded black ob/goddess blades will suffice for mob bashing.

Don't forget shield get their own powerful skill too.

also on 1 ego and 1 reg sword, the balance of the damage is gonna be way off if one has higher damage then the other. Your better off doing two gladiuses or daggers then a ego and another weapon.
