Ive been playing for roughly 2 days, ive remade charcters 4 times already(each got to lvl 20 within a couple of hours).  The one problem i keep running into is that i keep running outta AP by the time im lvl 18.  currently the guy im playing now is Trioa(rurui or w.e the last server is) hes at lvl 18 and has no AP.  The AP THING IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!  is there like a specific guild in which to distribute  AP points? If so what would the case be in for a Warrior/Mage(with no windmill)

 

You could always try getting more AP by leveling and aging. Leveling up past 18 isn't very hard.

Take it slow and steady.

My suggestion for you...

Get Counterattack to C = Stamina cost cuts in half at rank C.
Combat Mastery to D, C, or B = Helps in Melee, but gets more and more costly.
And Icebolt to 9 = Faster charge at rank 9+

Then maybe add some Music Theory in there for INT boost.

Leave almost everything else at Novice or rank F.

Don't forget to at least get Healing and First Aid to rank F.

P.S. Im surprised no one asked how i could make 4 new characters in 2 days.  If you say multiple accounts ur err well close, and multiple accounts are bad right?

P.S.S. What excatly happens when u age, im to lazy to wait for my week birthday >.< 

every saturday you get ap, depending on how old you are the amount of ap you get that saturday changes, ages 10->11->12 get 5ap, 13->14 get 4ap,  15-16 get 3ap  etc until you hit 25 where you no longer gain any ap.

 

Your stats increase as you grow older. Different ages also get different stat increases when they level; I can't pull the numbers off the top of my head but I know 10 year olds get less Dex and more Luck then an 11 or 12 year old, you can find the specifics in any of the mabi wikis that are out there.

If you keep running out of AP, don't spend it on anything until you really need it (or it's really necessary to get the skill)

Start at age 10*, on Saturday (at noon PST/-8 GMT) you get five free AP*, woo!

I have no tips for Warrior-Mage, but youtube and the forums are full of them. One of your repliers made a pretty good suggestion, too. (:
I'm more of a bard, novice chef (hey, spend no AP, the book is free, and I can still make all sorts of goodies), warrior... THING. Counter, instrument-playing, etc are all good for me. Try mabinogiworld.com they have a nice wiki with a skills list and their costs and whatnot.

 If you don't want to or can't spend money for rebirths, be careful of your AP. Here's a nice little thread/post with several different builds and AP costs and tips for forever-free (no rebirths) characters:

*(That's why people rebirth, but AP and higher skills just means you can kill faster IF YOU KNOW HOW. Higher HP just means a slower inevitable death if you haven't figured out how to use the particular monster's AI in YOUR favour.)

LOL! Are you serious? If i make a character on Saturday at like 10 am i will automatically gain  free 5 AP because of my birthday?

Not really free, but if you make a character age 10 before noon PST you will age up for the extra 5 ap when you relog or change channel after noon pst.

I've never had a problem getting my characters up to at least level 23 or 24 just from doing the beginner's quests, So I really don't understand how you're getting stuck at level 18.

i wasent stuck at all. it was like 3 am in the morning and i happend to be at lvl 18 at the time.  But i usally run out of points around lvl 18.  veileve me ive made four lvl25 guys already. :p

 

P.S. Anyone know why it takes so long for these forums to load? its a pain in the butt since i usually never lag. 

oh btw i never got far in the beginner quests.  I got up to Visitng Bangor and got completely lost at finding 5 iron ore.  My guess was it was in the dungeon but i was always to stupid to fight the goblins.  And i could never afford a pickaxe! xD

I am curious, when you delete a character does it free up the character name on that server?

ya when u delete ur free character and have nothing else u get a new free card.  but it takes awhile to delete.  also when it deletes relog to get a new free card!  Its as if ur starting all over again :D

P.S. Since i keep restarting i have people transfer stuff so u get pretty rich after like 3rd remake

Yes, you can reuse a name, after you delete the old charecter that had it.
