Last night around 10pm, my Nao support expired without me knowing. I was in the middle of barri basic with 3 Nao supports, and somehow managed to finish the entire dungeon Nao free around 10:30pm. That was fortunate (I usually expend a Nao and a bomb or two in the room of Gorgons), because I decided to Barri basic again to get my Arrow Revolver 4, thinking I had 3 Naos. I managed to find the scroll before reaching the room of Gorgons. Then suddenly I realized: where's my Nao? xD Would have lost a few thousand exp and many blessings if I died! >_<
I spent the next couple hours debating about whether I should renew my Nao support, and in the end, I did. -_- Nexon's a smart drug dealer. I even considered moving from gateway drugs like Nao to something more potent, like Advanced Play, since I was running out of inventory space. x(
In any case, not trying to ruin their business (although I'm sure they make tons already), but $10 a month is almost like pay to play mmos. And that's not counting rebirths... My suggestion for those of you who don't want to pool in too much money: try out Nao for a month, such that you feel less intimidated about dungeons. Once you've learn how to survive the basic dungeons (e.g. ciar basic, rabbie basic, barri basic, no pun intended o.O), you should be able to make enough money to maintain and upgrade decent two hit weapons and light armors, and buy 40-50 red potions to make sure you don't die. o.O;;
Then, you can start the 10 step program to becoming Nao free. jk. But seriously, don't be afraid to die or lose exp and money. These things can always be earned back. But more importantly, play for fun, not for gain. If you get too used to relying on Nao (like me), your play becomes lackluster, and your judgment unsound. D= Try going a day without Nao. Then a week without Nao. Then when you get used to playing like a pro and dying very infrequently, and you won't need Nao anymore. =]
