I don't see how advertising a mabinogi fansite on the mabinogi's forums can be seen as spam O.o

Re: MabiGuru, Unlock a whole new World

    1. Posting Nexon fan sites for other members to check out is allowed but spamming/creating multiples threads to advertise the website is not allowed.
    2. Links to websites for personal gain is also not allowed.
    3. Bumping is not tolerated. Purposely commenting on a thread over and over to get attention will have the thread locked/deleted and your forums privileges revoked.

Actually guys, well, I don't have anything against you or mabiplayer, and the others around that are trying to gain popularity "jumping on the mabinogi hype bandwagon" but there are rules about this kind of issues.

As for me the more people is interested in the game, the better for everyone, but at some point this goes too far, causing fights among the community because of meaningless
    discussion like:

"yeah my site is better" "no we were the firsts" "who cares, you just suck"

plus, websites that enforce such a policy to their members tends to have a short life span, and I've seen many that started nicely and ended up suddenly, so I'm talking with some experience on the matter.

So, keeping the hype/love and stuff is ok, but shameful promotion it's a little self destructing, if the website is cool and the people there too, there is no need to write it on the walls, players will come by themself looking at the signatures, talking to the people in game and such.

Having tons of registered users on the forum but having just the same people posting on the boards and having them help in the advertising somewhere else too it's not a proof of anything, more likely, it tags the communty itself.

at least try to add some content to the board, like a "guide", a "special footage from", or else and THEN, tell the people who will look "to check more come to XXXXX.com" it's usually more useful for everyone, makes the people respect you more and stuff.

    MabiGuru.com:

You should go check the other threads first and see the real meaning of spam.

Truthfully said, just because its not as spamtacular as other threads, doesn't mean you're breaking the rules. No one really cares if you advertise your webpage, and I do believe it is a wonderful forum (especially the layout. Its very smexy).

However, a few things should be laid out about this.

    -Hime':

    Posting/Thread duplicating/spam

When making a thread make sure it is related to the forums. This is a gaming forum and posting once is enough. If you accidentally double post, do not worry about it. There is no need to make another post apologizing. Please make sure to post in the appropriate forums and/or forums subsection. Posting in the wrong section will have your post moved. However, multiple postings of the same thread to get attention (bumping) will result in having all your threads deleted and a temporary suspension for spamming. Posting the same thread across different forums and subsections constitutes as spamming also.

Bumping is not tolerated. Purposely commenting on a thread over and over to get attention will have the thread locked/deleted and your forums privileges revoked.

If you have no business on the forums but to make inflammatory posts (aka trolling), you will be banned.

Yes, after the first double post on the first page, there hasn't been any more. So its okay. However, the posts made on this topic has a purpose to bump the thread. Therefore, it is "Multiple postings of the same thread to get attention", thus it is "spamming".

There has also been MULTIPLE Mabiguru threads that have not died off. Its okay to start a new one if one dies, but to keep multiple ones alive on the first 3 pages is just... bland advertisement.

    -Hime-:

    Advertisements

    ·          Advertising FREE BAN!! cash websites, hacks, and inappropriate links will result in permanent suspension from the forums. Depending on severity, the account will also be banned in-game.

    ·          Promoting non-Nexon related games will result in temporary suspension of forums privileges.

    ·          Posting Nexon fan sites for other members to check out is allowed but spamming/creating multiples threads to advertise the website is not allowed.

    ·          Links to websites for personal gain is also not allowed.

Yes, this thread itself should be allowed, but the contents of all the other posts breaks the rules. You can't advertise 10 dollars worth of nx cash on this page either. You can do it at your forums, but not here.

Now some of you may know me as a Mabinogiworld member, and that might start a debate on how I'm only doing this on biased opinions, but I'm just stating that the rules are being broken. There are other ways to advertise, and this is just purely bland.

Opinions, facts, and future plans are great to post, but refrain from saying anything that is misleading or false. "Number 1 sites" are okay, because its an opinion, and MabiGuru has its own ups that make it really great. However, quotes like "Largest community" is wrong. And I'm not pointing at Mabinogiworld either (which has over 1500 members now), but also at other forums like MabinogiPlayer, which has 620 members, and many more.

I'm REALLY sorry if I sound anti MabiGuru. I'm just trying to straighten out what I feel is wrong. I still DO like your site you know, the blue theme is nice (though it sometimes burns my retna), and the games are neato 8DDDD

If you'd like to keep this page on the first page, it is understandable. But to avoid recieving the "spammer" title, try to start a convo. Then you can have the topic be half about promotion of the webpage, and the other half make it at least LOOK like you're trying to use this forum for what its really for.
