Shana-tan:The Taunt and Windbreaker is purely a defensive skill. To tell you the truth, due to Windbreaker not having any Offensive ability, it is kind of useless. Taunt is when you want to lure a monster, and for giants, the only way to lure a monster is usually: Ranged skill and magic. Yes, even I have to agree that DevCat seems a bit racist towards the Giant race, as like the "barely needed" race, compared to human and elves.. T_T

The funny part is that elves said final shot was useless when it was implemented. It was only when they realized how to use the load time decrease effectively that they saw how useful it can be. It still a situational skill as in there are times where its not recommended that you use it.
The same thing can be said about windbreaker. It actually a offensive skill. It uses its defense ability as a way to allow you attack things you normally wouldn't rush in and spam normal attack on. I included two videos to show what I mean. In the first one if you said you were going to spam normal attack on a bunch of zombies most people will think you are suicidal but windbreaker makes this possible. In the second video a hopeless situation for humans and elves is a ideal situation for a Giant. In the both these videos the user wasn't trying to kill the mob attacking her she was actually using them as a easy way to train windbreaker thats why she doesn't attack much.

You can always use those Eweca Shields in the meantime...
A little late, but... Those eweca shields are little better than paper. As far as I can tell, they have 0 passive bonuses and I can't feel much of a difference with defensive activated buffs either (if there even are any)... I have used shields in the past on my human and it was quite noticeable... The Eweca just feels horrible. All you get is +1 defense** with a two-handed sword... Till we get the good 3/2 Kite shields... there really isn't much point in using a sword unless you smash alot... and even then, unless you have it enchanted (or ego'd) pretty well, the smash damage is still similar to dual-wielding a pair of good blunts.
edit: **And I guess the ability to not get knocked down on a magnum while defending, maybe... I don't make a habit of trying to be shot.
Shana-tan:If anyone wants detailed G9 updates, I would be glad to post them, but maybe now is too early =w=;
Just protective wall and life drain :D?

Windmill...is what you use in those situations...not windbreaker.
Windbreaker is still a fail skill. How many of the big baddies use pure physical attacks? How many of those pure physical attackers use skills that bypass protection? Fomor stomp? Windmill?
Windmill knocks eveything off you, and you have enough time to set it up again or move/adapt to the situation. Windbreaker doesn't.

You missed the point I was only showing examples of some uses for windbreaker. I still don't get how you can call windbreaker a fail skill. A skill that removes knockback and stun while increasing your protection and def also any PD you have will still activate normally. There is something you're forgetting you are allowed to attack with windbreaker on so how is your target going to load a skill while you are attacking them and they still suffer from the stun effects of each hit.
"Windmill knocks eveything off you, and you have enough time to set it up again or move/adapt to the situation. Windbreaker doesn't."
That is the problem windmill knocks everything away and you have to set up constantly and move while reloading over and over while you try to adapt. Windbreaker doesn't need to do this. You activate windbreaker and use taunt skill and everything in the room or general area runs to you.You don't have to adapt and reload constantly. Taunt in combination with windbreaker forces the mob in the area to adapt to you. You just sit there spamming normal attack killing them as they run to you.
I included a video to show how much more work is involved when you use windmill instead of windbreaker.
G9SE
Final Shot added. Easier to obtain and much more useful than Wind Breaker.
Elves laugh. Giants cry.
Chapter 3
Final Shot super nerfed. Str based magic introduced.
Giants laugh. Elves cry.
kitaek27:G9SEFinal Shot added. Easier to obtain and much more useful than Wind Breaker.
Isn't that a bit of a exaggeration. I admit final shot is easier to obtain this is a fact but much more useful is debatable.
FlashFate:Isn't that a bit of a exaggeration. I admit final shot is easier to obtain this is a fact but much more useful is debatable.
It is in all general cases.
Final Shot is a heavy DPS skill that fully focuses on launching magnums at revolver speed. Excellent in dungeons, bosses, and field bosses. Its useful in any situation (until nerf!)
Wind Breaker just makes you invincible, immobile, and unable to use any skills. Taunt fails to work on all BOSS level monsters, so its worthless against the big guys. It'll really let you clear a dungeon room with no problem of course. Its uses are very conditional, like when trying to save a party member or when you really see tanking as the best option.
Final Shot nerf will make it so the skill goes away with any hit you take, and its teleportation will eat a huge chunk out of your timer. This means you can either choose to teleport away and drop the skill, or get hit and drop the skill. Usually you'll need a very high ranking alchemy wall to back yourself up when using final shot after the nerf.
In the Zardine Continent, there are unique hot springs, where there are; a Hot Spring that gives Healing, a Hot springs that makes your body more slim, a Hot spring that makes you fatter, and a hot spring that gives you more muscles. Also, there are also monkies that give you special items if you give them delicious food.
Really? a hot spring that makes you fat? I would've thought no one would want that. 0.o; If you're on the mari server, expect to see the flab guild in there most of the time.

There are a few things you're forgetting about final shot. Its a heavy DPS on your stamina especially when attempting magnum revolver. It literally kills your stamina. It last for 30 seconds, teleport reduces the timer even more and it has the longest cooldown. All of these I just mentioned will cause it to be more conditional use also.
Taunt fails to work on boss level monsters but that is manageable. There are ways of reducing most of those Boss level monsters to make Taunt more useful.
I am not saying windbreaker is better in all situations over final shot but the cons of both skills kinda even each other out especially after reading what you mention about the nerf just now.

It can't be the G8S3. It is too quick. This is the Halloween Event, and this one is completely an original release from NA. Maybe that is why it would take 6hrs.
