    Strongness Skill Guide
    Another project to share with the community

    Data was collected from the Japanese(?) character building applet:
    http://www.kuroshin.net/mabicalc/mabicalc.htm

    Although I'm not entirely confident, I think skill CP (? Combat Proficiency ?) is calculated using the two greatest values
    100% x <Highest CP> + 50% x <2nd Highest CP> + <Stat CP>
    --- or ---
    <Highest CP> + ( <2nd Highest CP> / 2 ) + <Stat CP>

    Here's the data.  First post will be the entire chart, but I expect it will not display correctly.  If it is illegible, I'll post the individual charts.

     

    I could be completely wrong, but according to my source (see link below) only your two highest rated skills directly effect your CP. As such, the jump between 0-30 is due to the fact that Defense F is both a must-have skill and instantly raises your CP to 30. With all basic skills at rank F, your skill-cp is 40. Please remember that the stat boost from every skill will affect your stat-cp.

    Note: All ranks should be interpreted as “CP is greater than or equal to the skills' rank.” This was required because some skills were odd CP (i.e. Meditation 4 = 39 CP)

    Cool Thanks.

    Looks like bringing my combat mastery down to F won't help much, since mine's D.

    Seems safe to leave ranged attack at C.

    I guess it's my Defense that brought my CP pretty high.

    Focusing on saving AP points to raise WM to 5 and beyond next.

    So if I'm reading this right... ranking up crafting skills will have practically no effect on toughness, correct? I'd hoped so, and been going on as if it did, but didn't really know.

    This is only the CP that comes directly from skills

    Life skills boost your stats, which raises CP in a different way.

    According to the calculator, my char has about 60 cp from skills, but 325 cp from stats.

    Anyone got a link to the various mob's cp ratings?

    Although not right down to the penny, I think the 'general idea' is to find your two highest skills' rank then plot them on the chart. 

    For example, I have a Rank 7 windmill and Rank E defense.  Rank 7 windmill is ~120 CP while Defense E is ~60.

    That means the CP from my skills comes to 180 CP in all.  Note that this doesn't put stats into play, but you get the general idea on what skills to worry about.  Folks worried about their combat power will want to avoid those skills that really JUMP down those numbers, like Defense.   On the other hand, Ice bolt isn't that bad to touch on.

    Gah, I hate grindan....but it doesn't matter that much. New dungeons will be released, and will contain monsters which will be proportionate to my level of toughness.

    These should be perfectly correct, there are 'uber' hacks that 'turn on' the display of CP (in numbers).

    This is the stat CP formula

    HP*1 + MP*0.5 + SP*0.5 + Str*1 + Int*0.2 + Dex*0.1 + Will*0.5 + Luck*0.1

    Sitting at 275 for skills.

     

    For the stats CP part, I assume that's your current stats after skill + enchants?   If so, could you throw on a bunch of thief gear for +10 luk (1 CP) and -15 hp (-15 CP) to drop your CP by 14 per enchant?

    i am not sure whether enchants count into the equation but i would say no~

    Eh, sorry for bumping this, but I have a few questions, and it's a good reference. :P

    So, what happens when you have a "tie" of skills, like 3 skills at Rank 6. Which will your power rating be dependent on?

    Also, do the stat bonuses/decreases from titles affect stat CP? Do other stats like Crit%, Max/Min damage, Injury%, etc affect your CP as well?
