Alright folks, it seems that our conclusion is that it the HackShield problem is occuring the most on Vista.

I've looked into it on www.geekstogo.com still no final solution on this. Sorry guys, some of you might have to wait this out until Nexon fixes it.

This fixed it tested it on my 3 vista computers 

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

 Go to your C:// drive look for mabinogi and go to "HShield" folder then look for "HSUpdate" rigt click it and open properties and go to the cabatabiliy tab and run it in XP SP2  then acsept it and go to the "Update" folder and look for "autoup" and do the same thing and there you go.

YESSSSSSSSS! Ok, so I'm playing on a my sony laptop, w/ preinstalled Vista. What I did was make a new account on my notebook, installed Mabi, and voila.... It works... I went through the step of updating Hack and then I ran Mabi and it works. I'm so estatic! Yay!

It seems everyone has the same problem (?), but we're all getting different solutions.

Me, when mine would stop at 1/10 completion, and not open, I had to use a whole new computer.

From Vista to XP. XP works fine for me.

 

So if you're rich or have a spare computer, try that.

That's such a typically crummy answer. I swear everything they say is pre-canned. Mine just started working again, but I'm betting it was some sort of service problem or glitch with the HackShield server when a Vista computer tried to connect.

Okay, back to Pally Training! Hehe. Good luck ye who are still having the problem.

Could you guys help me? My graphic Card might be the problem... but I can't check it because of the type of computer I have... what should I do?

This actually happened to me last night, briefly. It seemed to be a transient networking problem. I went to the task manager and halted HSUpdate.exe and Client.exe, then restarted the game and it worked just fine.

well i had a problem for over 8 hours and i know for a fact it wasnt anything having to do with my machine or my network, since i havent changed anything and it magically works again today...just annoys me because they obviously didnt read the ticket i left and just gave some half-baked response

Chillian, I read your post all the way up near the top of the page, I got lazy and didn't read the other ones, and I tried to delete the Client.exe before while playing the game.... and what happened was that it just ended the game right there... Should I try it again???
