    Oops, you made a mistake.

"N" really works in MML, and sometimes it will helps a lot.

    Example:

    V15L8O2a+>a+<a+>a+<g+>g+<g+>g+ ... (30 Characters)

    is the same thing as

    V15L8O2a+N46a+N46g+N44g+N44... (27 Characters)

See the difference? You can make 3 notes difference out of 30 notes, or 10% less, sometimes you can get even more than that. So "N" does work, and it is important.

Nice compilation. And about that MML part, the mark is called a tie (which connects notes), on that last part he wrote about.

delight: I wasn't refering to N in that case. n (lowercase) was suppose to represent a number after another letter. I've never really used N, though now that I think about it at times it might be quite useful. It's just that it'd be a hassle to remember which number's suppose to go after it, as I've never remembered pitches, and certainly not by numbers.

Basically, I know that N48 is middle c, and you add/subtract a number for to go up/down by 1 pitch.

LuxDivinity: I thought that there was a fancier name for it...

Thanks all for the kind words and such about this thread. I haven't replied in so long, but that was because my internet was down -.-

I'll look for the Q&A thread and fix the link.

EDIT: Internet still is down...using my laptop to steal wireless internet. >.<

Actually, both MabiMML and 3MLE can tell you the Nn value while you are composing, but the real n value is an octave high, (you need to subtract 12 from whatever you get from 3MLE) in 3MLE.

BTW, the range of pitch is from N16~N88, and narrower ranges for flute, whistle, etc.

Uhm...can you break that down into something simpler? I can't understand what you're saying ._.

This got pushed back all the way to the 12th page...so disheartening.
Regardless, I'm bumping this for the flood of Closed Beta players who are visiting for the first time. This'll help if anyone needs it anymore.
