i did it with window vista but I don't see much of a difference

I'm still not 100% positive whats required to make it work with Vista, so if someone with Vista definitely has it working they should expand on this a bit. Whether or not they have the hotfix or SP1 or what.

WOW!  After this change I can chain icebolts!  i.e. icebolt>charge>icebolt>charge.  I'll end up firing my second icebolt before the stun on the first subsides.  Sometimes I'll end up knocking the monster back because I hit so fast it's as though I fired 3 shots in a row!

After a bit of research, I tried this and it worked! I have much less lag when I send commands. Great stuff

I read a bit more about this, and was wondering if there was any way to disable the nagle algorithm for a particular program, rather than the system-wide change that this thread suggests.

The part where it says "to see what this error report contains, click here".  Try clicking there.

Your guide says to change the dword value to 1, but the guide says that 0 is the value to disable the algorithm, apparently with 1, the wait time will be 100ms rather than 200ms.

Forums giving me a hard time today.

First question: There is no way to disable this for an individual program from our end. The programmers of the game can disable it from within their networking code if they chose to do so.

Second: The value of 0, are you sure you aren't looking at the registry for for Windows 2000? The one for XP and Vista is TcpAckFrequency set to 1. The one for Windows 2000 is TCPNoDelay set to 0.

Er sorry meant  TcpDelAckTicks = 0 for Windows 2k. If anyone happens to have 2k thats what you set btw, for everyone else just ignore it.

Using Vista bussines 

The steps don't apply to vista.  And editing the registry is NOT something that should be taken lightly.  It's very easy to kill your computer with a mistake. 

Tried this out and it's mostly worked for me.

But...

I can't n+1 as well.  Used to be around a 95% thing for me, but now it feels more like a 50% thing and it makes me sad.  Maybe it's just something that I need to get used to.
