In my last two atempts to repair my spirt sword, both with very high proficiency repair weapons, I have lost a point of max durablity on my weapon. The repair swords were at 99.7 and 100.100 respectively, so both times I had a 99% chance of repair....though while i've repaired like this many times in the past with no problem, now my weapon seems to be craping out on me. Anyone else have this problem?

When you repair your spirit he/she will tell you how much durability will be repaired and the success rate. Person above gave you a nice chart. It is fixed at 99% so you're just having REALLY bad luck.

No, just average luck.

The 99% figure is the success rate per point of repair. In other words, the success of any one repair point is computed independently of the rest. If you have, say, 20 points to repair, the actual chance that they will all be successful is 0.99^20 =  about 82% -- so you actually have an 18% chance that at least 1 point of dur will be lost. If you have 30 points to repair, you have about a 74% chance that all will be successful, and therefore a 26% chance that at least 1 point will be lost.

The more points you're repairing, the greater the chance that at least one point will be lost. Repairing more often is no help, since the chance of losing a point over total number repaired is the same no matter how many or few points are being repaired at any given time.

Spirit weapon repair potions are in the item shop (page 3).  If you don't mind spending nx: 6-10 points pot is 500 nx and 1-5 is 300.  And they do indeed have 100% success rate, and they're available at any time.
