I am doing Q2 and I realized something really weird. Every quest from The Secret Letter Box to A Suspicious Potion Redire doesn't speak when you talk to him for the quest.

 

Is this supposed to happen? And if not, how do I fix it? I hate missing parts of the plot line. 

There seems to be a bug with G2 where he doesn't speak, and actually sounds angry: "If there's something you need to say, then say it!" Unfortunately it happens for everyone that I know. There is a storyline on the wiki though, so if all else fails, just go there and read up on the parts you missed.

Worked fine for me (on Alexina.) I can try and reconfirm this if I run another character up to G2, but for the most part, the only reason people have problems with "text" from any character, is because they were following the wiki or some other strategy guide and missed a step (or talked to key characters out of order.) Or worse, having tampered with the game client, which results in the game not knowing what dialog you should have received, and being passed straight to the normal conversation.

This kind of thing seems to be a recurring glitch with some NPCs. For instance, it seems that every other update makes Alexina not say anything for cap quests. The best thing you can do is file a ticket on it so that they can fix the glitch next update or maintenance.

Well, I have not changed the client, but i did follow wiki, so maybe that's why :(
