I'm stuck on the part where you have to go taming wild animals. Now the first two, the unicorn and the anteater where easy but, its the Volcano boar that's giving me a hard time.

 

Currently right now my taming rank is B and I get help from being a DK if I am not mistaken by control of darkness, that being rank 9

 

I have heard from  others that they have finished G8 and tamed the boar at a lower rank then what I have now!!

I ask how is that possible? I do everything right, I weaken it down to deadly, I am using the tikka cane on it, is there something I'm doing wrong?

 

When I ask them how they did it, they don't really have anything to say but, one person did tell me that you get one down to deadly and go behind a hole so it cant hit you and it gets stuck and try to tame it 8 times, no more no less.

I seriously don't think that's right but, I am up to taking any help. I am not skipping G8 cuz I want to be able to summon the dragon when ever in G9 as to only being able to summon it when you are the G9 boss if you skip it.

I decided to train my taming but, I started to wonder. I am working with taming Zebras and they are just like the bores strong. Now I can tame Zebras though I know that they are easy to tame due to the fact that they don't attack you but, I still want to know why I can tame them and I still can't tame the boars.

 Like I said before, they are both strong and if I can tame a strong animal, why can't I tame one that's the same?

Now, I said my taming rank was exactly like the like the third test though, when I look at the top two, I question to my self: How can the boar be tamed if I can't tame it at

Rank A taming and Rank 9 control of darkness.

I tamed it with Rank 9 Taming (And being a Giant, no CoD). It took me 100+ baits.

It's all luck; although, a higher rank gives you a better chance.

I did this with Rank A taming and Rank D cod using a tikka cane using about 100 bait on the same boar. It just takes a bit of luck you'll get that boar sooner or later.
