Not to mention whenever somebody assaults you in the beginning of the duel, regardless of distance, your connection prevents you from loading counter or defense in time, so you're left with just running at them and hoping you get a hit in.

well, i guess i do get that advantage, whenever they charge, i always am able to stun them while they are mid charge. it's strange that works that way. but honestly, does this discussion really matter, someone maybe fast,someone may be slower, it is always the case, it's like saying someone has rank 5 wm and someone has rank 1. if you want rules them help create them if you want a fair fight, tests could be taken etc.

I'm just trying to make  a fun event for the server : ( if you have better idea, which i always ask, but apparently no-one does, please say them. Any event to take place, i will help in it if you need

That is a wonderful idea, and thankyou for the positive response! I'll take up notes for all ideas that come in and eventaully post a final thread if it all comes along greatly.

Having seen what this game does with the net connection, the only way to get a fair duel is to have both participants fight inside one of the arenas with no other players or monsters. The Connus Arena is suitable for this. That reduces the lag whine to just the people in the arena. Anyone remember the GM event of this type? with 50 people watching? Yeah, that works against the people dueling. This game needs a "duel rules" and
arena rules" before such a thing is fair. The only thing it has is a damage nerfer so a duel lasts longer than one hit.

Ok. I am getting arrow spammed. I use magic natural shield. I prepare to load charge to charge them after I block the arrow. OOP, NVM, SHOT AGAIN, IT WAS WASTED, because my connection wasn't good enough.

I successfully manage to charge, getting ready to smash, NOPE, LAG, REJECTED. GT'FO. Range spammed 9001 times.

Like, Zes on an elf managed to kill me on Jean in a duel, because he pinned me to a wall and just range spammed to the point where I couldn't even windmill him away because my connection was inferior to his.
