umm...weird

i can read the book and my skills gets saved...

might be a connection problem?

My tab locations etc are all saved, but I also get endless Content Downloading on books. There seems to be a correlation between that and and the skill bar.

I knew it was some sort of glitch.  My fiancee' has her computer set up 7' away and doesn't have any problems.  She can read books (I cannot... always says "content downloading") and her skill bar remains between each log in.

 Maybe the books and the skill bar memory are connected?

I'm sorry nexon, but I cannot financially support a game that annoys me every time I log in... despite the few hours of enjoyment that follow.

Same problems here.

I can't read books.
The skill bar stays empty.

After logging in, I get the <SYSTEM> message "Failed to read user interface" twice.

I don't think it's a problem on my side, because everything worked well until today.
 

one thing to add:  I keep hearing that the NPCs are supposed to remember you.  they never remember me.  its always "i dont think we've ever met."  is this a beta thing or is that part of the glitch?

i think the nexon servers are not saving our user data or something.



anyway here is the message they gave me in response to my inquiry:
"Thank you for reporting the issues you have found in game. We will forward the information to the appropriate department for review."

and they closed the ticket.  sounds like a throw away answer to me.

How many people are affected by this?

I think it is really annoying and I really want to know, if it is a server problem, or not.
I also filed a ticket in custom support, they told me to re-install the game, which didn't solve the problem. On my second ticket, I got the same answer as Quendor. "Thank you for reporting..." Ticket closed.

for instance, log in on your acct under her PC, and vice versa, and let us know if it is the accounts that are screwy (a server side problem) or if it is indeed something going on with our own computers.

i am also wondering if you all are running a 64 bit version of windows, or use ATI tray tools?

Hmm. I think this is a computer/connection problem.

 When your books are blank, that means there is lag on your side or so; content is actually downloaded from Mabinogi servers I believe.

If you cannot download content for a book, then obviously you have problems with sending the server info on whats on your skill bar.

 
I remember reading somewhere that this happens to people with slow computers and/or bad connections.

 

Either way, it's probably a client side problem if others can download books and save skill bars.

This is my PC spec, hope nexon guy would see the threads

 

OS: Windows XP Pro (windows firewall closed)

Network Enviroment : PC -> router ( firewall closed)

                                connection type: DHCP

                                Trying to set DMZ for my ip (prevent port blocking by router), but useless
 

Anti-Virus & Firewall software : ESET NOD32 Smart Security (everything turn off when I did test for mabinogi)

Graphic Card : NnVidia 8800GT (driver are newest from www.nvidia.com , 3/18/2008)
 

 

My problem is ....

no tab positions are saved.  e.g. i have to reset clock, map, etc every time i login or change channels.
