Windbreaker + Windmill!!!

    I had actually given up hope on Windbreaker, but... this makes me smile... Mix in a life drain (yay Alchemy) or a healer... and suddenly you have a full-healthed giant that is nearly invincible-WMing in the middle of a  room every 3 minutes? Sounds like a fun dungeon formula to me.

    Unfortunately, you can't use life drain while in windbreaker... though I guess you could during the cooldown.

    Remember that a shield must always be equipped to use the skill.

    The whole Windbreaker + Windmill thing really does well to replace the Windmill + Healing technique made to tank enemies while windmilling at the same time. In fact, this is a primary example of what this whole thing is going to be good for. Multiaggro that is too fast for windmill to normally keep up. Windbreaker will keep you safe during the refractory periods of Windmill. 

    In harder dungeons (especially hard mode), you lose too much offensive power, and because of this you might not be able to kill the enemy using only N with windbreaker active. Doing a few spins might help solve this problem though.

    Yeah, that is what I meant for Life Drain... but... maybe someday, they don't have to stop at Windmill~ Smash could be fun too. =d

    Ah well... something to look forward to when Windbreaker (Hopefully renamed to something decent, like Final Stand...) is released just in time for Christmas!

     

     

     

    Oh, you thought I meant this Christmas? Noooo.... Christmas 2012, duh.

    I am glad someone else thinks so. I am not sure I could get behind a move named after a light jacket or someone with the case of the winds... Here is to hoping Nexon thinks so too~

    Last I heard in G10 they just made it so that Final Shot can't get knocked back with normal Melee attacks, but what else did they do to it?

     

    Also Windbreaker > Taunt > WM is probably really really nice to get the enemies aggro on you and kill them other then getting them one at a time.  Sadly you'll have to use a 2h which the best max you can get on one is like... 140 with a 25 balance Untamed Destruction Dustin sword so the damage sounds not as good as just using a pet to pull it into a DW WM..

    According to kitaek: Final Shot nerf will make it so the skill goes away with any hit you take, and its teleportation will eat a huge chunk out of your timer. This means you can either choose to teleport away and drop the skill, or get hit and drop the skill. Usually you'll need a very high ranking alchemy wall to back yourself up when using final shot after the nerf.

     

    Anyway to go back on topic I dont think this broke the game. I think this actually is a nerf for windbreaker. Yes the idea of being able to windmill with windbreaker's no knockback effect on is nice but when you look into the details of it you notice alot of cons.

    Windmill cons -10% hp each time you use it and stamina drain. Windbreaker cons you can't move and stamina drain. They basically combined both of these cons into one skill which made it not that useful.

    While windmilling with windbreaker you constantly lose 10% of your hp. If you are a Beast Lord with all the hp you possess you will go into deadly extremely quick.  Since windbreaker is on you can't move so any range, alchemy, or magic using enemy will kill you in one hit and there is nothing you can do. Ememies that move fast and only use melee can also be able to kill you since they might slip in your windmill intervals.  It isnt going to take much to put you into deadly especially since if you tank a couple hits  windbreaker still reduces your hp so add windmill  use to that and I am sure you get the point. Before anyone says I am just going to use mana shield also then if you look at the video mana shield doesn't last long on a giant since our mana pool isn't that big so I wouldn't rely on it. I am not even going to mention stamina burn.

    If DevCat really wanted to improve windbreaker they should of just remove the immobility effect and allow you to move with windbreaker on.

    I can't really complain though DevCat always does this they give giants something that looks nice but when you actually see details of it you see it actually full of cons...

    No no. Any hit you take will cancel the skill. Not shorten its timer. Teleporting away will shorten its timer by a lot. So you can save yourself and cancel the skill basically. 

    If DevCat really wanted to improve windbreaker they should of just remove the immobility effect and allow you to move with windbreaker on.

    At least walk, right?

    devCAT hates on giants so much.

    The amount of clothing they can wear, their horrible equips in general...

    Giant specific skills like Stomp and Throw both fail hardcore. Though Stomp got an upgrade in G10, its still not as good as windmill. Some people chose to get Stomp over windmill because its a possible replacement after the buff, but overall its still not that great. 

    And throw has tons of potential but absolutely fails in damage, and the ammunition is rare plus eats inventory like hax.

    Theres a lack of character look features too, especially in females.

    We can't use throw stone or fake death. 

    And finally, my greatest disappointment, we can't actually MOVE until our combat animation is complete. Unlike humans, who can use N, and then start moving away the moment their damage sets in, we have to literally wait until the animation is finished before we can start moving. This actually caps our ability to fight a lot, and makes the movement speed bonus pretty worthless.
