G8ES is called G8 extra season. Just like when we had G3ES last year, it is the most last patch before the new Chapter (C3).

I don't know about this, but this is only my prediction.

Probably by next or 2 months after, Nexon will probably do another patch. It is possible that:

They will go by the Season Updates I have mentioned, as in it will be divided into 3 more patches

or divide them even more and make them into more than about 5 patches.

Or maybe patch in big stuff like the patch we just had few days ago, as in we will be having G8S3~S4 updates all together in the next patch.

 

But to your question and frustration to Giant shields, unfortunately, we will be getting Giant shields during G8ES, the last patch before G9.

However, this may change if nexon decides to mix in new implentations from G8S3 ~ ES

I say if Nexon really cares about their customers, they miight release the Giant shields more early, along with the new skills.

I'm really trying to see the actual upside to the new Giant skills...everyone else gets to teleport around and attack super fast with skills...we get to...stand there...and get beat up on...

How well does taunt hold aggro anyways? Because if you can't use skills during Windbreaker you won't be doing sh*t in the way of damage with just normal attacks against the types of mobs that windbreaker would be useful against since those kinds of mobs have ridiculous amount of defense and protection. WTH was devcat smoking when they came up with all these fail skills for Giants?

The Taunt and Windbreaker is purely a defensive skill. To tell you the truth, due to Windbreaker not having any Offensive ability, it is kind of useless. Taunt is when you want to lure a monster, and for giants, the only way to lure a monster is usually: Ranged skill and magic.

Yes, even I have to agree that DevCat seems a bit racist towards the Giant race, as like the "barely needed" race, compared to human and elves.. T_T
