Go to Ciar adv with a lighitng wand and 5 stacks of MP 100's and just experiment. You'll have lots of fun believe me. :D

I'd say focus on your elf for a while, collecting reset capsules. Slowly reset your human till you are rank F everything. Then simply get some buddies to help you train skills. as you gather AP in whatever way you can. Once you have a nice AP ball, spend some time do some math, and really balance out your skills to get more Dex. Try getting some Life skills to rank 9-6 or even 5 and then re-anoint your original skill set minus some for things you deem un-necessary. Skill training is finished PERMANENTLY on a character once you train it, so it'll just become like slide bars you can't push back down. Try your best to push yourself to a more archer stand point (Suck some AP from bolts and such.) But don't do much human grinding. Spend time on the elf, maybe giantize from time to time, and do other things, just remembering to log on saturdays.

I understand what you mean, but like. It's sort of... annoying to stay on my human. I know I screwed up with my build, going range first, and having my CP too high.

What I will do now is start an elf. I'm going to use my elf, and refinerefine. I'm going to collect capsules on my human, and reset EVERYTHING I want starting with range. Then I'll do it how I wanted. It might take a while, but I think it's a good idea.

I started as an archer, and got to r1 AR and r1 range, occasionally ranking some melee or magic skills. I got all book spells, including all three advanced magic spells. Not trying to show off, I'm getting to the point soon.

I basically screwed myself over not getting higher dex from life skills (the highest I have is refine at r9. Weaving is E, and Tailoring is C.) I didn't get rank 1 WM, which is not actually a necessity, but I do love to windmill. My CP is pretty high, but I'm resetting range.

I'm getting pretty bored as a human with AR. Everything, including dungeons, PvP, whatever, is just AR-AR-AR-WM. Final Hit. AR-AR-AR-AR-LB-AR-COUNTER-WM.

There's absolutely no variation or fun anymore. Should I start over? I'm pretty curious, though. I'm not a big melee-er, but I will use WM. WM is about the only melee skill I do use, besides counter. I've been an archer more than half my time on Mabinogi, and I like it.

Should I go elf? Giant? Start a new human? Or should I continue my human, just to see if it'll get "better"? (I do not plan on grinding to rank any skills anymore, so screw that. No more going to TNN to windmill zombies for hours. I may grind skills on a new character, though. But it's pretty boring on Bennifer.) And if I start over as an elf/giant/human, what would you recommend doing first? Not doing at all?

And my stats? Laughable. My dex is like. 120 base, and my str is less than 80 base.

 

I've given my human plenty of chances, hoping things would get more "varied", but no such luck. I'm asking what I'm asking because I just want some background information, before I start into something blindly.

Since you're not a big melee-er, I would not suggest going giant.

Go with elf, I guess. But you will be limited. :|

On second thought, go human. Become a hybrid.
