I really only like mabinogi, just because of well all the reasons stated above and the fact that grinding is sort of hidden. You can get exp from doing part time jobs and you don't even have to become a combat expert. There is also the -you can wear what you want- aspect. I like that because your not spending a ton of money everytime you get to the next 5 levels.

I agree with Shinotakana. Mabinogi's the only Nexon game I like- Maplestory is a blatant and bland grindfest with a terrible and elitist community. Mabinogi may have many annoying people in its community, but there's always one person around the campfire you get along with.
What I really like about Mabinogi is that it feels more immersive than other MMORPGs. Tir Chonaill and Dunbarton feel like real places (though Bangor and Qilla are kind of underdeveloped feeling, lol.) I actually care about the NPCs somewhat as characters, the story is interesting, and many other things. I especially liked how, when I first started playing, it really did feel like Nao was just kind of dragging me along, and I just woke up in the middle of nowhere without a penny to my name, and this little "kid" in a helmet poking fun at me. You do some things for Duncan, you buy a lute in hopes of making some money (before you learn that nobody ever gives tips for performances, just like IRL street performers... XD) and you end up lost in a dungeon to save somebody just because this knight told you so. The quests feel more like things a person might actually ask you to do rather than just "Go kill 10 squirrels!" (...at least, until the quests where they constantly ask you to kill 5 of so-and-so fomor...) and then before you know it an initially small string of quests has evolved into a long-lost tale of the three lost warriors.
On the other hand, when I learned that you used to have to PAY to do G1? I was furious at Nexon, even if it had already passed. As a matter of fact, I wish this game was made by somebody other than Nexon. To call this Free-To-Play should be considered false advertising- if you play free, you get no pets, no mounts, only one character, and a whole bunch of other points where you're screwed over just because you didn't pay Nexon money. Maybe if another studio had made this wonderful game, I could actually play the whole thing. Maybe I'd even be WILLING to pay them money, because I wouldn't feel like they were trying to force me to EVERY SINGLE SECOND. But as it stands now, I absolutely refuse. -_-
My favorite aspect of Mabinogi would be the Unique Combat, Skill's System, Music Making, Getting-players-upset-because-Ferghus-ruined-their-Weapons-and-armor Status.

I like how the game is unlike any other game. This game has aging, time, weather, music, an much more.
Unlike other games you have skills that anyone can rank. Its not like those games where your given a class and you can only learn certain types of skills.
When I first found out this game also had a storyline, I loved the game even more. When I played the storyline I felt like this was one of the future most popular MMORPGs.
Then came the Iria Update. More Dungeons, new features, pets, and items were added showing that this game was one that updated to make it enjoyable to most people.
When Elf and Giants Update came I realized this game also ties in with Racism. Atrata and Taunes= White and Black.
I was first attracted to this game when I saw the first NA Mabinogi Video. I decided i would try playing it and see if it was better than maplestory. I played Closed Beta and enjoyed it so much that eventually I left Maplestory for Mabinogi.
I love Maplestory though sometimes when I feel a little bored but to me Mabinogi is the key to happiness.

I like two things best about Mabinogi:
1. The life skills.
2. The community.
Community was something that was lacking in MapleStory. The game had guilds, but I never joined them. Most people kept to themselves, and if you wanted someone to play with, unless your real-life friends played the game, you were generally out of luck. I think people in Mabinogi are much friendlier and more helpful in general.
And, well, life skills are just awesome. I never played a game that had something like that before. Life skills are really the reason why I play Mabinogi.
Things I like about mabinogi are the verity of skills. Theres 4 different catigories of skills (including transformation) that have more then a dozen skills in each of them. Also, you dont have to be just a mage or just a archer, you can be a mix of every class and many big games dont let you do that. Thats also half the reason I quit Maple Story. Apart from all the combat and magic, you can use life skills that can help you along the way to get and make items and also to make money. But what I like best is the non-restiction of skills. It helps alot.
Well to be honest, I'm not having fun at Nexon games anymore. I played MapleStory and I loved the fact that their was a "Player Status" that one had to achieve by playing the game instead of buying the item. For example: When I started playing I wanted the Warrior Throne chair. It's a lvl 50 chair and you had to earn it. I got my chair. =) Then I Needed the Pig mount. Lvl 70. Jeez I worked hard for that pig and finally saved up to get it. I was thrilled when I finally did! But next the Knights patch was implemented into the game. New Knights could get a mount at a lower level and much cheaper then the regular mounts! That was Foul. All the hard work was all for not, I stopped playing MapleStory and started playing Mabinogi
Well I'm really new at Mabinogi and just learning my way around. I love the weather in the game and I joined the game because of the things it says you can do. I want to buy a house?....Well that's a bust. Who buys a house for only 4 weeks and for those types of prices!! So let's try the skill cooking? In order to learn a skill one needs AP points and Gold! you can't get gold unless you go in the dungeon and in order to kill what's in the dungeon you must use your AP points to be strong enough to kill the monster that are there. No points to cook now but plenty of Gold! That a no win situation...if you just want to do a life skill and not fight. Well I know most of you will say...do a part time job. I did. you can really only do 3 part time jobs a day so you stand around till the next day? boring. The thing that really kills me is I love the game and with the site boasting about the new patch coming where one can own land to garden it really makes me sad. Why garden if you can't cook your food? Why have a garden if you can't have a house?
My sister's and I were really looking forward to donating and geting pets when we hit level 30 until we found out all we couldn't do. Now we are just looking for someone else to give our money too. Don't get me wrong. I am not knocking Nexon. They did make Mabinogi more user friendly then the 1st Orginial game...but they just forgot about the community and the Girls who didn't want to become a fighter. Why offer so much that you can't do unless you are a fighter?
Food for thought....You see all the ladies on the game who would rather run around in their underwear then wear the ugly clothes the NPC's offer in the Shops? Try selling something in the cash shop besides those thing for fighters. Mabinogi could surpass Maplestory if Nexon thought about everyone.
If anyone has any serious suggestion for me and my sisters on how we can continue playing Mabinogi and achieve some of our goal...pls response before we quit Nexon games all together. Because of right now...It's no Fun at all....
