@ above: You mean as in many items. only 2 right?
Im staying Neurtal. I dont wanna be attacked by a giant when walking around D:
In a game where little combat slips or mistakes could cost you your experience and/ or items; where not being protected by Nao could alter your combat decisions and dungeon choices. I would have to chose an Elf over a Giant, I have two reasons for my selection.
In conclusion, I would definitely have to go with an Elf opposed to a Giant (or human).
The way I see it:
Thank you for your time.

Elves are obviously the better choice, they’re so much more dignified than those Neanderthals who would rather charge their way through a problem instead of working it out civilly. Who needs brawn anyway when you’ve got superior brains that can work out practically any problem and get it done in a quick yet clean fashion? Also, I’d much rather be able to get from place to place in a timely manner instead of dragging my feet, taking all day to get to an area, like those sluggish giants do. Further more, what can be more fun than to become invisible and have the element of surprise? With all that in mind, how could anyone possibly want to be a giant? And let’s face it, elves are just so much better-looking~
Elves do have the upper hand when it does come to range. But all that range won't do anything if the area you're in has lots of enemies and not a lot of room to manuever in. Like in some dungeons, you'll be hard pressed to get some leg room to get a clear shot without being attacked first. Thats when giants are more handy. All they need is a high end combat and they're good to go. Sure they tank a lot better than humans or elves can, but thats just a bonus for them.
From the looks of things, elves may have the upperhand, but the giants have a great asset that makes them worth playing with also.
in terms of range:
Elves>human>giants
In terms of Melee:
Giants>Human>Elves though humans and elves are harder to differ in which is better.
Magic:
Elves or humans>Giants
Reason for that is that both the elves and humans have almost identical magic capabilities. But elves will have slightly more in magic area.
Giants
I mean arrows are pretty cool to but CLOSE COMBAT IS THE BEST
and giants are the strongest at that, and stomp and taunt are really funny :p
elvesmight have bows but giants have 2 weapons that do tons of damage. Elves bows might get double the damage from their arrows but in the long run giants have the strength and even a little speed to kill any opponent. Giants also get double the damage from both of their swords. By the way swords just happen to do a teensy bit more damage than bows. By teensy i mean a lot more. Also who wants to hide during battle when you could knock everyone to the ground with stomp. Hide has advantages but not as much as Stomp. For one Stomp happens do to some damage. While hide might save you some damage or maybe a death but who cares about a death if you can take out your enemies with you. Even more if you have service you can revive and take out the rest! Giants are way better.
GO GIANTS?!?!?!?!
I would have to go with Elves, since they are fast, accurate, and intelligent. Much like my human character rank 1 range and high ranked spells. Elves
however are naturally gifted and crazy smart. I am willing to give up DW to own at range/magic :D
*hopes he wins a free elf character card* lawl
Giant seem like they are more power in fighting so that means if you have alot of brawn you have no brain so that equals that there will be low magic skills.
Elves seem small and fast that equals better ranges if you can attack than run you can fight..... and i herd they have good magic.
soo... i think elves will PWN forever!
Elves are going to be RIDICULOUSLY fun. Running around being hidden will definitely make exploring Iria a LOT easier when it comes to any dangerous areas.
And since they run faster than humans, it'll be easier to escape monsters too. I'm excited to actually figure out how to use SoG so that I could use an elf to it's full potential and experimenting with their unique bow skills.
Although elves are seen as scrawny and weak compared to giants, it hardly matters because elves take strategy and tactics and knowing how to play as an archer will teach you how to fight without getting hit... by melee atleast (unless if you're ganged up on D:)
Also, in my opinion, giants would almost be useless against elves, due to their superior range, as long as the elf can get a shot (that is until assault is out but I can worry about it then xD)... AND NOBODY CAN RESIST THE POINTY EARS! >.<
Elves for teh win.
Its hard to pick just one of them.. I would love to get picked now matter what the out come is all im going to do is use the charactor for good help people that need help and help save people that need to be saved...Quest with people that need them done but are on the low side of the lvl pole.I've noticed that people in the mari server dont help people that much..Me on the other hand all my guild members are all below 30 and they cant do the quest they want to do
But they call on me to help them AND I DO =)
So whats going to happen when there over on the iria side and there stuck there cuz they die .. that will def not be good
you know somthing i would pick the giant cuz realy more powerful and ill be able to help out people and my guild members
thats all what matter
thanks for reading this and keep in tuch

Elves are going to be top of the food chain. End of story. If you don't believe me then look at how many archers are out in the wold now with ego bows. And how many other players are training range now.
He's a scenario for ya between an Elf and and a Giant. :
Both Giant and Elf are hunting an area for the same thing. They see each other and prepare an attack. The giant runs in to close the distance. The Elf readies a ranged shot. Once in range the Elf fires mirage missile wich will slowly drain the giants hp wile healing the elf. the giant is now close enough to fire it's range attack, the javelin. It hits the elf doing damage. Since the mirage missile is in effect the elf is slowly gaining hp while the 2 are ranging each other. The elf starts taking critical damage and starts running. Giant gives chase, but the Giant is slower than a human meanwhile the elf is faster than the human, so the Elf quickly out distances the giant and rounds a corner and activated his hide ability. The Elf now invisible see the giant coming around the corner just waits. the Giant runs by the invisible elf without a clue he's there, and runs past him. the Elf then readies a magnum shot and fires it just before the Giant is out of range. the Giant goes flying and since he didn't see the shot doesn't know where it came from. so the player has to pan the camera around to see where the shot came from. by that time, twap another magnum shot. so the Giant tries to close the distance again but keeps getting hit and drops dead.
That will probably the most common 1 on 1 encounter in the open area.
Sure Giants have an aoe attack like a golem but unless it can somehow knock arrows out of the air it's not going to help much. And ya Giants can pick up trees, and wack an elf with it so hard that his left ear is now touching his right ear, but seriously trees are kinda scattered as it is, so picking up a tree is more of a parlor trick.
