Race Information and Q&A - by Truelf

hey you guys since everyone is making guides now days.. i decided i will make a race guide~

Be mindful of the fact that, elves and giants do not come until later on in game. This is due to the fact that they update in what we call, Generations. Elves come into play G5S1 (Generation 5 Season 1), while Giants dont come into play until G6S1 (Generation 6 Season 1).

ON REGAURDS TO REBIRTHING, when rebirthing you can only change the gender, age, and the way your character looks. You CANNOT rebirth into a different race.

We do not know how fast the game will update; however, if they do one generation a month, than we will have elves in around 5 months and giants in 6 months.

    GUIDE TIME~

    Prequisite
"Both races are completely unbalanced in terms of stats, and a loss of balance in stats can be disastrous in this game." (credit to Kitaek27)
Humans are the most practical and balanced race.

ELVES! What can they do? whats soo special? do they have any cool abilities? whats their difference?

    • Elves are another race in game; their home is located in the desert town called Philia (wheres philia? philia is in this other continent called Iria which wont be implemented until later in game)
    • Elves can run almost 2x as fast as a human, they are the fastest runners/walkers in game
    • Elves can shoot two arrows at once and can shoot their arrows while they are running (however if they shoot while running, their accuracy will remain at 50%) "if you miss your first shot, your second arrow following will miss as well "(credit to kitaek27)
    • Elves can never shoot one arrow, they must always shoot two (with the exception of magnum shot and Mirage Missile and Support Shot)
    • Elves can do mounted archer/ Elves can shoot while riding their horses (this skill is only for the elves, humans cannot do mounted archer and neither can giants)
    • Elves are given the skill to go invisible; however, the invisibility skill is a major MP drainer. While using this skill, no one in game can see your character (only yourself)
    • Elves are given the skill Mirage Missile; this is esentially poison shot, however the poisin is very contagious and if the monster goes near other monsters, it will poison the other monsters as well
    • Elves can Transform into something called, Falcon. Its very much similar to paladin, except its for elves.
    • While in transformation mode, elves can use this skill called Arrow of Connus which is a bow shot that gives magic ability to it.
    • Elves have a reduced mana cost when using magic skills
    • Elves can use Assault with a sheild

    Disadvantages

    • Elves CANNOT  duel weild any weapon
    • Elves CANNOT hold any two handed weapons
    • Elves CANNOT use any heavy armor (heavy armor = any armor thats effects give 6 defense and 4 protection)
    • Elves CANNOT get arrow revolver
    • Elves CANNOT use paladin
    • Elves CANNOT use the skill Final Hit
    • (Credit to Kitaek27) Quote: "Elves have a even worse disadvantage. Even though their dex is much higher when leveling and aging, they gain much less through Archery, and in the long run even though you have the potential to have more dex than a human, you'd have to work much harder as well"

    Recomended Profession
(Be mindful that there are no Jobs in game, these are just... suggested "Proffesions")

    • Archer
    • Mage (credit to kitae quote "Their boost in intelligence is TREMENDOUS, their mana costs is actually SMALLER than a human's, and their natural dexterity completely balances out what is missing from the damage thats already high from the intelligence.")
    • Strong Archer (an archer that Magnum Shots a lot)

    GIANTS~

    • Giants are another playable race in game; their home is located in the snow caps of the new continent called, Physis (Where is Physis? physis is in the new continent Iria, in the northern part region)
    • Giants can run faster than Humans, but slower than Elves
    • Giants can duel weild blunt weapons (such as hammers, maces, mallets.. etc..)
    • Giants can hold HEAVY weapons (such as Great Axes, Warrior Swords..etc...)
    • Giants can throw Spears/Javelins ( they are the only race which spear/javelin throwing was implemented)
    • Giants can hit more times (while duel weilding) than a human can
    • Giants can use Brass Knuckles
    • Giants can use the Stomp Skill (The skill golems and ogres do in game; no other race can use it)
    • Giants can use two handed weapons
    • Giants have this transformation mode called Savage Beast.
    • While in they're transformation mode, they can use this special ability/skill in which the player uses this strong attack and it does massive damage and splash damage as well
    • Giants are the only race in which they can use the Assault skill without a sheild
    • Giants can carry Giant supporters on their shoulders
    • Giants can knock down certain trees in game and make icicles fall in the Ice dungeon in Physis

    Disadvantages

    • Giants CANNOT use any type of shield in game
    • Giants CANNOT use any type of clothes (until later on in game G8, but for a majority of the time they cannot)
    • Giants CANNOT use Bows and CANNOT use any of the archer skills
    • Giants CANNOT do mounted archery/spear throwing
    • Giants CANNOT do paladin
    • Giants CANNOT duel weild blades (only blunts)
    • Giants CANNOT play any musical instruments (lute, mandolin, flute etc..) (HOWEVER they can play drums and cymbols)
    • Giants "CANNOT share a ride with each other. You CANNOT put two giants into one two person animal. You CANNOT put a giant and a human/elf on a human/elf's animal. You CAN put a giant and a human/elf on a giant's animal." (credit to kitaek27)
    • "Giants may gain additional strength, but they severely lack dexterity, making them lose a lot of damage balance. And without archery skills, they cannot raise their dexterity very easily. They MISERABLY lack intelligence, making for pathetic mages." (credit to Kitaek27)

    Recommended Profession

    • Warrior (due to their major lead in Str.)
    • Party Supporter (skills such as Stomp and Assault make them great Party Supporters)

    Humans

    • Humans can duel weild any single handed swords (with the exception of ego one handers, minus ego dagger)
*note to self, there are LOTS of exceptions in this game...XD more than i had imagined
    • Humans can transform into Paladin or Dark Knight. Paladin has no special abilities. Dark Knight has mind control.
    • Humans are the most balanced character on regaurds to stats and makes them overall good for every profession
    • Humans have the option of aligning with elves or giants (in return the head of the elf/giant villiage will give you an Assistant Elf/Giant card (basically a freebie of either a elf or gaint))
    • Humans are the only race that can use Final Hit
    • Humans can use Assault only with a sheild
    • Humans can get all archery skills including revolver (exception of mirage missile and arrow of connus)
    • Humans have the largest variety of clothes and armors that are wearable
    • Humans can use heavy weapons (such as claymore, gargoyle sword, two hander) but not wear heavy giant armor
    • Dark Knight By saying "DK stats are basically one big dice roll, and have extra hp, while paladin is a balanced boost of everything with massive addition to defense" quote ( kitaek27)

    Disadvantages

    • Humans CANNOT use duel blunts
    • Humans CANNOT go invisble
    • Humans CANNOT use spears/javelins
    • Humans CANNOT get mirage missile
    • Humans CANNOT use duel shot
    • Humans CANNOT do mounted archer
    • Humans CANNOT use assault without a sheild
    • Humans CANNOT arrow of connus
    • Humans CANNOT run faster than elf/giant
    • Humans CANNOT get stomp
    • Humans CANNOT use heavy giant weapons,...add more if there are more

    SPARTANS!! WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION?!

    • Archer
    • Warrior
    • Mage
    • Blacksmith
    • Tailor
    • Fisher
    • pretty much anything... they are the MOST balanced out race in game and can be good at basically anything

Am i missing something? Well let me know and ill add it to the list~!
Be mindful.. There will be a human section coming soon ~

Re: Race Information and Q&A - by Truelf

    Trying very hard huh?

There are a few things you could add to the list. First of all, mention that giants cannot dual wield bladed objects. Although you mentioned they can dual wield blunts, it wasn't mentioned this important fact.

They cannot use final hit either. Also, they have the ability to carry around humans. Furthermore, it should be noted that they can knock down certain types of trees and use the log as weapons. They are crucially important to hunting wendigo, who will not die correctly without the use of stomp + icicle.

Whats most important, is the stats for elves and giants. Both races are completely unbalanced in terms of stats, and a loss of balance in stats can be disastrous in this game. Giants may gain additional strength, but they severely lack dexterity, making them lose a lot of damage balance. And without archery skills, they cannot raise their dexterity very easily. They CANNOT use any string, air type instruments either. They MISERABLY lack intelligence, making for pathetic mages.

Elves have a even worse disadvantage. Even though their dex is much higher when leveling and aging, they gain much less through Archery, and in the long run even though you have the potential to have more dex than a human, you'd have to work much harder as well.

What you should do in your list of recommended profession (you spelled profession wrong for giants by the way), is move mage up to the top of the list. Their boost in intelligence is TREMENDOUS, their mana costs is actually SMALLER than a human's, and their natural dexterity completely balances out what is missing from the damage thats already high from the intelligence.

Lastly, for Giant Profession, throw in party supporter. Giants throw ability, stomp ability, MASSIVE assault power all makes for an EXCELLENT party support. Some giants focus directly on stomp, which does NOT throw an enemy off course (although it flinches them), at great ranges for up to 100 damage.

Try to change that  "(NOTE - if you miss your first shot, your second shot will miss as well)" into if you miss your first shot, your second arrow following will miss as well, to prevent confusion.

Also, they shoot one arrow if they're either down to one arrow, or needs to change to the next set of arrows. Another exception to the 2 arrow rule is support shot.

Lastly, add to giant's disadvantage that they CANNOT share a ride with each other. You CANNOT put two giants into one two person animal. You CANNOT put a giant and a human/elf on a human/elf's animal. You CAN put a giant and a human/elf on a giant's animal.

Re: Race Information and Q&A - by Truelf

    Nice info!

Heres some info that came to mind.

Giants cannot play Musical Instruments (other than Drums and Cymbols ~Supportr Role Instruments)
Giants cannot ride a horse with a human unless the horse is owned by the Giant. (as mounts will adjust to the owner's size)

    Some screen shots O.o

    Female Giant

    Male Giant

    Female Elf

    I dont remember when they changed the skin for the transformed state and didnt notice till I looked at my images just now. O.o;

Sorry if i'm sounding like a jerk, but it was as straight forward as i could get it to be.

There were info missing, and I just told you everything you should add.

Although my post MAY have been seen as flame to a few, I highly doubt its a troll.

Its not criticism. You said "Am i missing something? Well let me know and ill add it to the list~!"

edit: my first post was altered as directed.

Well, you were missing alot of stuff but you are right on him critisizing you. Your first sentence waskinda too straight forward, kitaek. BE more modest and being an honored memeber shows that you are kind and helpful, not just helpful. But thanks for all the info, it does help ^^.

Haha, yeah I guess you're right.

    But we weren't exactly on formal relations either... having played this game together for like 3 years we kinda throw insults at each other a lot... lol... friends do that, right? It wasn't supposed to be taken so heavily. >W<;;;;

    sorry.
