Hi there, pals! I've been playing this incredible game for about a month and I have to say that: my head is about to explode!!!
I've been exploring, cooking, hunting, making quests, crafting, traveling to wonderful places...in short: having tons of fun, but enough is enough. I've read somewhere here in the forums that the best way to enjoy Mabinogi is making a specific goal and work to reach it. So I finally made up my mind and I decided to reach the big 250 with a melee warrior. Yeah, I know it'll be quite a long journey, but this challenge really got me excited.
Anyway, I'm planing this saturday to have my last reborn so I can concentrate in reaching lvl 250: no more lvl resets for me. So my two questions are:
1) Windmill: I think most of us agree this is a godly skill at lvl 1, but reaching that level is really though, so, when you reborn, does the requeriments also decrease? I mean, if I'm at lvl 35 and windmill is at lvl A, the enemies I have to defeat to advance this skill will be really though, but if reborn, then the enemies lvl also decrease?
2) Final Hit: I'm really far for reaching this skill (which looks way too cool!), so how easy or hard is to increase this skill when your lvl is also high? Or should I lvl up Final Hit when I reborn?
1) when you rebirth, your CP drops a lot. This means monster ratings will go up (ie golem awful to boss) At low levels zombies at tnn should be boss level. You can kill these to get boss kills for wm. Difficult armour helps reduce CP too, for a tiny cost of 100k.
2) Final should be one of the last melee skills you rank up. Why bother ranking a skill that you can only use every 10/7/5 minute?
Thanks a lot for your advice, that's very kind of you. Darn it! I can't wait until this saturday so I can put my plan in action.
Just one question, please: You're quite right about lowering the CP to help increase the skill requeriments, but I don't quite get the part about the "difficult armour" and especially, where can I get it? I mean, for 100k is quite cheap if it helps to advance our skills. I'm really grateful for all the gold I've been saving for raiding like crazy ciar these past weeks!

Best bet for the Difficult armor would be the house shop advertisement boards. Just search "difficult".
Btw, Difficult is an enchant for armor, not a type of armor.

Whoa, wait. o.o; At first I thought you meant total level 250, but this makes it sound like you're trying to get to level 250 without rebirthing. If you've only been playing for a month, you prorably shouldn't be going for such a hard goal. I don't think people who have like 10+ skills at rank 1 have even gotten this high. @__@; You should probrably start by ranking up skills to a high rank first, rebirth will be necessary for this since that is where you will get your AP from.
Please correct me if I misunderstood the whole thing. @__@;;
ninj77: First of all, if you're going for level 250 total it's better to rebirth every 3 weeks using free rebirth with a minimum of level 30 each time. If you're trying to get a level 250 current, it's impossible I believe it's capped at 200 and people with 4 digits total levels find it nearly impossible/hard. 1) Windmill: I think most of us agree this is a godly skill at lvl 1, but reaching that level is really though, so, when you reborn, does the requirements also decrease? Some monsters may be stronger. 2) Final Hit: I'm really far for reaching this skill (which looks way too cool!), so how easy or hard is to increase this skill when your lvl is also high? Or should I lvl up Final Hit when I reborn?Don't train it over rank F while training WM. Karu isn't too hard, but bring a party. It might take awhile to sketch the glowing statue since it only comes out during thundering. Maiz, highly suggest a party of 6-8. It's AP hungry, but not too hard to train.Zombies = Boss kills for WM, do it right and it's 250 EXP per zombie.Rabbie = Quick leveling if you can one combo hit most enemies and strong/awful killsCiar = Party PQs and $$$Math= Fine leather and such for $$

Whoa! I'm really grateful for all your comments, pals! You just saved me from making quite a BIG mistake. Yeah, I plan to reach high lvl, but I didn't give it much thought about reborn and skills rank. So for now, I think I'll put on hold the lvl up and begin little by little skill ranking.
You can be sure I'm still aiming for lvl 250. But for time being, I better plan carefully how to rank my melee skills using the free reborn every 3 weeks.
Once more time, thanks a lot for your help, my friends!
Sorry for the double post, but I almost forgot to make one important question that's been bugging me since I began playing Mabinogi.
When you lvl up the rank of any skill, you can either choose lvl up at 100% or go for the full 120% (perfect ranking). Is there any real difference between them, besides gaining some exp? So far, I've read in wiki that perfect ranking is oly necessary at lvl 1 so you can get the master title, otherwise, you can rank from F to 2 just with 100 without problem. At least that's what I think, according to wiki.

Correct. There is no good reason to train above 100, since it only gives you a tiny bit of experience. When you see the 'Advance' button appear, you are done training that rank, and just need the AP.
What server did u pick anyhow?
I usually have a lot of spare time on my hands and if your on the Ruairi server i can help more than likely~
ninj77:Way cool, pal! You just took away one of my biggest worries: Maybe I missread the instructions, maybe it was the 6 hours playing, or maybe it was the hour (4:00 AM in RL lolz) but when I was farming ciar normal for some formor scrolls, I lvl up a skill that was supposed to give me 30 hp, but when I looked back didn't see any diference in my stats so I thought: "OMG, I just f..k up my rank skill!!!" LOLZ

Thanks, that's very kind of you! Though I'm afraid we are not in the same server, I'm in Alexina, you all been really helpful with all your comments.
Btw, lalala5, by cumulative you mean the numbers to the right? I was wondering what did they mean. Now I know they're the bonus from the skills.
