1. NEXON CASH (NX Cash) is the virtual currency used throughout all games
serviced by Nexon America Inc. NX Cash can be exchanged for in-game services
such as the Cash Shop in MapleStory, the Fashion Mall in Audition, Premium
Services for Mabinogi, and The Black Market in Combat Arms. NX Cash can be
charged or purchased via PayPal, PayByCash, and Nexon Game Cards. Please
remember that NX Cash has no real world value and can only be used in exchange
for items and services provided directly by Nexon America Inc. Any act of Nexon
cash trading, selling, and/or unauthorized or fraudulent charging is in direct
violation of the Terms of Use and all violators will be subjected to immediate
account termination.
NX
Cash is meant to enhance the game play and by no means is a requirement to play
Nexon America Inc. published games.
NX
Cash is non-refundable and any attempts for refunds will result in account
termination.
2. Purchasing NX Cash
To
charge NX Cash, you will need to log onto our website located at http://www.nexon.net.
Currently,
there are three methods of charging
NX Cash.
PayPal accepts all major credit cards and is the leading provider of secure
online purchase transactions. PayPal is a quick, SAFE and SIMPLE method to
purchase NX Cash.
PayByCash* allows online transaction and payments without the use of a credit
card. It is used by large and small companies alike and is a proven and secure
method of online payment.

PayByCash option can only be used for $10 USD or $30 USD purchases.
Nexon Game Cards are prepaid cards carrying a specific amount of NX Cash. The
use of Nexon Game Cards does not require any online transactions to charge your
account. Nexon Game Cards can be purchased at authorized retailers.
3. Purchasing NX Cash via PayPal
A PayPal
account is required to charge NX Cash through this method. You can register for
a free PayPal account at http://www.paypal.com. Once you have your
PayPal account simply log into the Nexon.net website and select the PayPal
option for the amount you want to charge ($5, $10, $30 USD). Type in your
PayPal login ID and password, and you will be prompted with a pop-up to confirm
your purchase. If you are stuck on the processing payment page, please make
sure you have disabled your pop-up blocker.
NOTE: When creating your PayPal account it is
important real information is used.
Without warning PayPal can block payments due to false information given
at the time of account creation. If a
Payment for NX Cash is blocked by PayPal the Nexon Passport account can also be
closed permanently.
4. Purchasing NX Cash via PayByCash
PayByCash
is another secure method of online transaction and payments without the use of
a credit card. To charge NX Cash via PayByCash, select the PayByCash option on
the 10,000 NX Cash points ($10 USD) or 30,000 NX Cash points ($30 USD).
PayByCash is not available for the 5,000 NX Cash points ($5 USD) option.
PaybyCash
has a variety of payment options. You
can view them at this link. http://www.paybycash.com/options/index.php.
PayByCash
transactions are not instant as PayPal is. Once PayByCash receives payment for
the transaction, PayByCash will notify us and NX Cash will be disbursed.
NOTE: Inquiries about PaybyCash transactions should

5. Redeeming NX Game Card(s)
Nexon
Game Cards are available for purchase in the United States
at Target, CVS Pharmacy, RiteAid Pharmacy, 7-Eleven, Duade Reade Drugstore,
Blockbuster Video, Longs Drugs, and Speedway. In Canada, the NX Game Cards are
available at Shopper Drug Mart, Future Shop, and 7-Elven. The card values are
10,000 NX Cash points or 25,000 NX Cash points.
After
purchasing NX Game Card(s), please make sure the card has been activated by the
cashier. Your receipt for your card will say it has been activated. Please keep
the receipt in case of issues that may come up.
To
redeem your card, look for the Charge
Nexon Cash links our site – http://www.nexon.net and log in. You are
not technically charging NX Cash but it will take you where you want to go. You
will see this button:
After
clicking the Redeem My Card! button,
a pop-up will come up. Please make sure you have disabled your pop-blocker. Use
a coin or another suitable object to scratch off the silver film covering your
pin code. Fill in the 20 character code in the provided field on the website.
Click the Charge Nexon Cash button
and it should give you a confirmation message that your card has been redeemed.
Multiple cards can be redeemed at a time but cannot be used again.
6. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: When I try to charge NX Cash by
PayPal, I see this error “System Error! Please, login and try again”.
A:
Due to large amounts of fraudulent charges, certain regions have been blocked
from using PayPal to charge NX Cash. Do not use proxies to bypass the block as
it may result in account termination. NX Cash can still be purchased via
PayByCash and NX Game Cards (if available in your region).
Q: When I
try to charge NX by PayPal, I see this error “The
transaction process could not be completed. Please re-check your billing
information and make sure that all the required fields are filled in
correctly”.
A: There are a couple of
reasons that explain this error. When you verify your information, something
does not match your PayPal information. It could be the wrong address, phone
number, out-dated/expired credit card information, etc. Because the information
does not match up, PayPal will not let the transaction go through.
Another reason you may see this error is
because of an account block. Blocked accounts are associated with fraudulent
charges. Do not use a BAD BAD BAD to purchase NX via PayPal.
Q: When
I try to charge NX by PayPal, I see the error “This transaction has been
determined as high risk causing the verification process to fail. Please ensure
that your PayPal billing information is correct and no methods are being used
to misrepresent your billing location.”
Our verification system has deemed your
transaction as a high risk for a fraudulent charge. When charging NX Cash via
PayPal, please be sure your current location matches your billing location.
Misrepresenting yourself and your payment method, the use of BAD BAD BAD services,
and false PayPal account information will be detected by our system and used as
a basis to deny the attempted charge as fraudulent. We suggest that you contact
PayPal to verify your billing information matches your geographical location.
In addition, if you are using a prepaid
credit card, this may conflict with PayPal. If this matches your situation,
please contact PayPal to have your issue resolved.
Q: When
I try to charge NX by PayPal, I see the error “There was an error during login.
Please, log in and try again.”
A: We have a
verification system implemented due to continued fraudulent charges. Your
transaction failed our verification system and as a result the account will not
be able to use PayPal to charge NX Cash. We have other methods of payment as
described in the beginning of the thread.
Q: Why
was I banned for illegal charging/funding?! I did not do anything wrong!
A: NX fraud does not have
anything to do with hacking or rank blocking. There is nothing illegitimate
about being suspended for NX fraud. The act of committing fraud is a federal
offense and it is not taken lightly.
Accounts that are banned for NX fraud are
investigated prior to being banned. When your account has been blocked for NX
fraud, an email is sent to the email address listed on the PayPal account, not
your registered Nexon account email address. The email should provide reasons
why your account was suspended and methods in getting your account back if
possible. If you have further inquiries, please submit a ticket to the Billing
inquiry (not ban inquiry) from our Customer Support system located on our
website.
If you receive an email from PayPal saying
your transaction has been held for verification, you have approximately 10 days
to resolve the held transaction before your transaction is refunded and your
Nexon Passport Account is banned permanently.
Q: My
NX Game Card says it has been redeemed but I just bought it!
A: Foremost, do not buy NX Game Cards with the silver
film scratched and the pin code exposed. When buying NX Game Cards, please be
sure to purchase it from our authorized retailers. Our authorized retailers do not include eBay or a player in-game.
Please do not buy NX Game Card codes
from players in-game! If you have issues with your card, please take the card
back to the store where it was bought and/or submit a ticket to our Customer
Support directed to billing inquiry.
NX Game Cards cannot be shared and can only
be redeemed once.
Q: My
NX Game Card is not activated. What should I do?
A: NX Game Cards are
activated at the register of authorized retailers at the time of purchase. On
the receipt it indicates that the Game Card has been activated and redeemable
at any time after activation. If you see your card was not activated, please
return to the authorized retail you bought the card from along with the receipt
and ask a cashier to scan the card to activate it. If you believe the card was
not activated properly (even though stated otherwise on your receipt) and you
believe it is an actual issue with the card, please submit a ticket into our
Customer Support along with the card code.
Please do not buy NX Game Cards from non-authorized retailers and from
players in-game.
Q: I
used PayByCash but I still haven’t received my NX Cash.
A: Some methods of
payments offered by PayByCash take a bit longer than others. Once PayByCash has
received your payment, they will notify us and we will allocate the purchased
NX Cash amount.
If you have any issues with PayByCash, you
will need to contact their Customer Support at http://www.paybycash.com/service/index.php.
Q: Can
I get a refund?
A: As stated in the
Terms of Use, all purchases are non-refundable. If your account has been
suspended or terminated for any reason, you will not be entitled to a refund
for any used or unused NX Cash or Cash items. Any attempts for a refund can be
constituted as fraud and your account will be terminated.
Q: Can
I transfer NX Cash to another account?
A: Unused NX Cash
cannot be transferred to another account. Please make sure when you charge NX
Cash, you charge it to the desired account.
Q:
Where can I buy NX Game Cards?
A: NX Game Cards are
available in the United States at Target,
CVS Pharmacy, RiteAid Pharmacy, 7-Eleven, Duade Reade Drugstore, Blockbuster
Video, Longs Drugs, and Speedway. In Canada,
NX Game Cards are available at Shopper Drug Mart, Future Shop, and

Q: Why can’t I gift NX Cash even though
the feature seems to still be available?
A: Gifting
NX Cash has been disabled due to continued fraudulent charges and abuse of the
system.
Q: What are Gift Tokens and what is
this new gifting system about? (MapleStory Related)
A: The
Gift Token system has been removed from the MapleStory Cash Shop. You are still
able to Gift items in MapleStory but items can only be gifted with NX Cash from
a Nexon Game Card.
Q. My NX Cash shows up in the Cash Shop
but not in the MTS. (MapleStory Related)
A:
Only NX Cash from Nexon Game Cards can be used for purchases in the MTS. NX Cash
from other sources other than Nexon Game Cards will not show up.
Q: I haven’t received my Character Name
Change or Server Transfer. (MapleStory Related)
A: Character
name changes or server transfers may take up to 1 or 2 server checks/patches
before it is implemented so please be patient with us. Also please keep in mind
that double-clicking on the item will prompt you with the cancellation of the
request. If you have cancelled your request, we are unable to assist you any
further.
Q: I received my server transfer but
now my character can’t drop, trade, buy or pick-up items. I’m also not on
rankings! (MapleStory Related)
A: It
may take up to 24 hours for your character to stabilize after the transfer. If
you are experiencing this issue longer than 24 hours, please submit a ticket to
our support system.
Q: My Premium Services have vanished!
(Mabinogi Related)
A: Your
premium services may have expired at their designated time. You can check your
transaction log on our website for NX Cash-related purchases to see if your
services expired at their appropriate expiration.
If
the services are suddenly not available or you believe they expired earlier
than it should have, please contact Customer Support and they will assist you
with your predicament.
Q: I’m not sure how the Black Market
works. (Combat Arms related)
A:
The Combat Arms Black Market works differently from our other cash shops. You
can read the guide on the main Combat Arms website by clicking here for more information on how the Black
Market works.
Q: I have some questions and issues not
mentioned here.
A: If
you should encounter an issue not answered here on this guide, please submit a
ticket into the self-service portal. Be sure to submit the
ticket into the appropriate category. A CS/GM Agent will assist you as soon as

Q: What is the green NX mark on a Cash Shop item mean? (MapleStory related)
A: The green NX-marked Cash Shop items are only purchasable with Nexon Game Card or
PayByCash funds.
