Greetings fellow Soldiers,
I’d like to take this opportunity to share with you my thoughts about the latest patch. The new War Zone: Power SurgeI found this map very fun to play. It has a variety of possibilities for every player type, offering great places to snipe, hide, and ambush. I found myself getting the upper hand on a good amount of players, taking them by surprise as I stayed behind a corner only to have them walk by distracted by enemy fire. (Hime: GM Nebel is a very skilled player and he spends his breaks in game. ^_~) I definitely want to see how tactics evolve in different game modes.New WeaponsA wider array of items to take out your opponents is always good. The re-balancing of the shotguns is nice. Maybe I won’t be called a “Shotty Noob” as much… haha. The SpecialistsCodename: Viper & Scorpion - a great addition to the mercenaries, each with their own unique look and gear. You also have to take into consideration that they cannot use a face item, head item, or a backpack. This makes the Specialists weapon selection limited, not to mention a higher susceptibility to the incendiary & nerve grenades (in that they have nothing to protect them from said items). They stand out, so make use of that! I haven’t fought against many players using these Specialists, but I am definitely up to the challenge. The Specialists GearClaymore: This is a good tactical item; I like the idea of setting up traps for your opponents (Hime: GM Nebel has caught on to my mine spamming!). There is nothing more rewarding than placing a trap, baiting an opponent to follow and have them yell at you as they explode… haha. Place these in a good sniper or hiding spot to keep the enemy guessing. Somebody (a player) brought up the idea of a trip wire for the claymore or other explosives. It sounds cool and would make for an interesting game play.Medkit: Walking away from a blast radius and not having to worry about death by a stray bullet is always good, but hey, it’s nothing a few more bullets can’t fix. ;) The Satellite Scanner: There has been a lot of talk about this item. For those who have not yet tried out this item, here is how it works; After selecting the item, you must link it up to the satellite, this takes a few seconds and once it is uploaded a message is given that you have successfully uploaded a Satellite Scan of the enemy’s position. Afterward the enemy location becomes visible for a duration of seven seconds (your team will also have access to see the enemy for the duration). After the seven seconds are up you have to wait until the scanner becomes fully charged again to be able to re-use it. I understand there are some controversies behind it but being able to see your opponents and fellow team members is a very powerful tool. Having your team benefit by having a Specialist on their side, well, what else is there to say…I read the idea of having items that would counter its effectiveness, like an item to prevent a player from being seen. Hehe, tinfoil hat anyone? Or even a uniform or modification that can disrupt the satellite signal. I like the idea but I’m not promising anything here!
And that folks is my two cents,GM Nebel
Oh no, you guys gave him an idea about not being seen by the sat scanner. You know what that means
PS: Nebel if you ever read this, balance out the Satellite scanner. You may like it as it is, but not the players, especially the more competitive ones

Camping behind a corner takes skill? Woah.

Yes, I know what it means. Another NX item to add to the list.
Cool,
Thanks for giving us your feedback Nebel. That uniform modification idea of yours seems interesting...

LOL a new nx item or overprize gp item that disrupt satellite HAHAHA
NO I hope you get the point here...
Also the gp specialist ARE way too expensive, i have the rank too buy them, but buying them from the nx shop is cheaper than buying gp case, i mean come on... i should be able to get gp case and than buy the specialist without spenting more money than a recruit...
Its going to be NX only.
As it is a "cosmetic" =)
Nebel, let cut to the chase, shall we.
An NX jamming device would be nice.... Seriously, I don't have any problem with the scanner. The duration is so short and if you're not in position to use the information, then it is worthless. I've only got two kills out of the five or six times its been used un public rooms.
Everything seems well balanced and I have no complaints about the Specialist.
Wish List:
My only complaint is Power Surge. The map could be so much more, yet it was chopped down for some reason? If you could open it up to the railway bridge, open the street that runs down the backside of two warehouses by making the gates open by pressing the "E" key that would be wonderful, and open the warehouse up on Alpha side, and the road running behind that warehouse so they could come around it to the side where the box car is, the map would be epic.
M203 Grenade Launcher: Please bring it into the game even if it means taking a weapon slot away.
Thank for reading my rant...

You don't play lot's of SnD do you?
Or any clanmatch right?
i mean 7sec of cham is STILL CHAM...
Is this really some GM's feedback, or is something you managed to type right before your lunch break?
I mean come on. You could've made it a bit more realistic. Not the "yes-man" type to all the new features.

And how much the satellite scanner is op?
Play a game of SND with the SScanner and its pretty obvious.
